When we 1st arrived the outside was maintained and manicured nicely. The lobby when you walked in was immaculate, the owners and staff take pride in their hotel. The swimming pool, sauna, and hot tub along with the deck were clean. There were plenty of towels available and a place to deposit the ones you used. The room was large, cozy & clean. Nothing was out of place. Everything you needed was in the room. If there was something needed the staff jumped right on it. The hotel is large, and with that being said, the walls are not thin. You were not able to hear anything or anyone once you were in your room. The silence was wonderful for sleeping, the beds are so comfortable. I love the shades in the room. They pull with a chain you have a black out shade and a one way see through shade. You still have privacy with the black shade up. The location is perfect right off of I-90. There are restaurants close enough to walk to if you wanted. The hotel does serve up a wonderful hot breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, several different breads, cereal, fresh fruit, waffles, biscuits and gravy, juice, sweets, and yogurt. Coffee, tea and cold ice water is available 24/7 in the lobby. The ice machine is conveniently located close to the door as well as the vending machines. The air conditioner was efficient and quiet. There is nothing negative to say about this property at all. It's also a safe and secure place outside and inside. I highly recommend the AmericInn & Suites, Austin, MN.

The breakfast the first day was very good, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy , however , day two saw that they did not have yogurt or adequate milk supply. When asked, the response was, it will be here this afternoon., We also reported that our room had a musty odor and that we could not get the a/c unit to function correcly.
