Carnegie Hotel & Spa

Beautiful

The bed was too soft.

Everything

Nothing

This hotel was probably the best 4 star hotel I have ever stayed at in the U.S. in my 70 years of life. I travel all over the U.S. and Asia and have stayed at every level of hotel imaginable from 0 to 5 stars. This hotel just blew me away with its unique design and sophistication. The staff at the reception desk were absolutely so professional approaching the level of professionalism I've experienced at 5 star hotels throughout Asia, which I consider to be the best in the world. Even though the hotel itself is only about 25 years old or so it was designed and built to look like the grand hotels at the end of the 19th century. the architecture both inside and out is just stunning! It reminded me of some of the most renowned grand hotels in the world like the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong or the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Who ever is behind the development of this hotel is a genius! One really feels like they step back in time staying at this hotel to a time when class and sophistication mattered. The rooms are huge and elegant. The bathrooms are massive. The housekeeping staff keep this entire hotel just immaculate! One thing that just drives me crazy about any hotel is mold in the bathrooms, especially in the caulking around bathtubs and showers. There was none to be found in this one which tells me that the housekeeping staff deep clean each room daily right down to the caulking. Having the free parking garage right next to the hotel and the location was a big bonus for me. In my opinion, this hotel really should be classified as a 5 star hotel.

There was not a thing I disliked about this hotel.

Great location very nice staff.

They were doing maintenance work overnight. It was very loud interrupted our sleep.
