The layout, the personal details, the grounds
You could only get ice at the bar which was only open 12-5 or go to front office then go with them to the bar to get ice.
Had a 24/7 gym with access code for guests yet only allowed guests to use it 8-8 - locked the access after 8pm

The location is excellent and the hotel is very well kept. It is a small resort that has been in Islamorada for many years but it was recently renovated and it was a job well done (featured in HGTV!). The views are beautiful as the hotel is right at the beach; the pool is very nice--overlooking the ocean--,and the rooms are comfortable and clean. We stayed in a partial oceanview suite and we had a full equipped kitchen. It was very peaceful and quiet, so if you're looking to have a relaxing time, this is a good place for that. Highly recommend.
My only suggestion would be to have more storage in the bedroom and a full size mirror, but it is not a deal-breaker. For me, it was a minor thing. I would say I liked everything!
