The staff is amazing! They were extremely short-handed. Apparently, there is new management who was unaware of Swiss Days and how big it is and they did not have nearly the staff they needed for the amount of people. They also were no longer offering a shuttle to Swiss Days, which wasn't advertised online so we didn't know until check-in. The staff that were working gave 110% every day with a smile!! They all deserve a fat raise. On more than one day there was only one person in the kitchen of the lobby cafe and one person to run a full dining room of hotel guests. It's a beautiful property and if they put a little money into it, it could be a beautiful hotel again. It's just showing some age and neglect. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, it just didn't warrant the extra resort fee with so many amenities "out of order".
There were several amenities that did not work or did not work well. For instance, it lists indoor and outdoor heated pools but they were not heated, they were cold. There are indoor and outdoor hot tubs but only the outdoor hot tub was actually hot. All of the steam rooms were out of order and the Carousel was never open or running even though it was listed to run at the top of every hour.

The staff were great!
The resort fee seemed a bit much and was not communicated until after I paid for the already higher than expected hotel cost. The resort itself needs an update.
