Best Western Plus Carpinteria Inn

Breakfast was good and well priced.

The bathroom fan didn't work and it was a heatwave but the ac didn't work very well. The ice machine was broken on my floor and the vending machines were on a different floor, but the hotel isn't huge and it is very well laid out. Going upstairs wasn't a big deal and the elevator was right there

Key card rarely worked. I kept having to walk through the front desk to get into my room.

We loved that it is in Carpintería- one of our favorite places. It is walking distance to a great Steakhouse and we love that. We were able to get around pretty easily. The courtyard is wonderful. We bought items from the vending machine and would have used the microwave, too.

We didn't know we had to let the desk know we wanted housekeeping. I was very upset and called the Front Desk. I felt ignored and dismissed. I let them know we needed towels and trash removed. We left to the (tiny) pool and when we came back, our room had been fully serviced! We were fully grateful. This is a bittersweet experience that started bitter and ended sweetly. We have not yet been able to enjoy the Sunset Grille! Both times we have stayed at this Best Western, both times the hotel restaurant has been closed. We ended up spending over $100.00 for a meal somewhere else. Wouldn't you prefer that we spend it at the property? Just saying.
