The location is perfect and having the beach service so we didn't have to think about bringing anything but ourselves was a nice luxury. The rooms were very clean and well-appointed. They also provided us with free charging for our EV which was a welcome bonus. Loved having the pool bar so we could grab food and drinks to have either by the pool or to take back by the beach. Final bonus was having The Rusty Nail Bar and Grill on the property. We were able to enjoy live music each night which was a treat!
Even with all the great amenities, we really weren't the right age demographic. It was mainly families with their little children. We came with our sons who are in the early- mid 20's and our daughter who is in her late teens. We were the odd family out. We chose the place because of the whole 60's retro charm but perhaps I should've researched better. It's definitely tailored to young families, more so than the other places we've stayed in Cape May (we go every summer). If you're looking for a more chill experience where you can lounge and swim in the pool without a myriad of little littles, this might not be your place. Also, the non-valet parking spots are pretty limited so that's something to consider.

The Beach Shack has a great location and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. We loved that we could easily cross the street and get set up at the beach with chairs and umbrellas, then hit the pool. It was also very convenient to walk to restaurants and the main stretch of town. We didn't use our car at all, which was great.

Close to beach. Restaurant on site. Nice size room . Large outside deck area. Elevator. Valet parking . Beach tags included. Beach umbrella and chairs, with covers and towels. Ocean view available everywhere.
Our room window faced a wall.

Great location, most of the staff very friendly and helpful. Going to the beach and having the chairs and umbrellas set up for you is great, Rusty Nail is convenient.
Bed was very uncomfortable, wifi was terrible, I was not given the room that I reserved.
