This is where I always stay when I visit Lawrence. I have been saying here for years (decades?). It is consistently a good and comfortable place to stay. Clean, colorful rooms, cotton sheets comfortable beds, good Lawrence location on 6th street, friendly host. I always enjoyed chatting with the owner who was brimming with positivity.... The nephew has now taken over and is equally pleasant. Makes for a good overall experience.

Breakfast was bare bones simple but I did it both days. It was strangely quiet and felt safe despite shady neighbor.
I didn't like that I had to specifically request a room with a Jacuzzi. The photos are misleading in this that they have on the Internet but I will go back and make the request next time.

More reasonable cost. Good location for our needs.
Definitely an older property. Small things like the shower curtain rod was pulling out of the wall, bathroom door could barely close due to the floor warping, wall plugs were rough
But it was clean, with larger sized rooms. Staff was friendly. It met our needs for a bed and a shower.
