The facility is very nice with tons to do, specially with kids, a lake with boats and kayaks, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was great. It’s very well located, even with the detour was easy to find. The room and bathroom were a little too rustic for us but still nice and comfortable.

This is an interesting Lodge. Lots to do at the lodge. This place's history began as a girlscout camp. The area pleasantly reminded us of the movie Dirty Dancing. Games inside and out, lake with access to canoes, basketball, tennis, table tennis, on and on. A wonderful dining facility with all meals at a hot bar in a big open dining room. The food was delicious.
The location is great for driving to the beautiful Sequoias. They have s'mores outside every evening after dinner.
Not a warm and fuzzy feeling as soon as you turn off the main highway to drive to the lodge. They have a "temporary" (3 years?)) bumpy gravel access road several miles long to get to the facility. As it was desolate and we didnt know if we were still going the right direction, they could use friendly signs all along the way to ensure new guests and lift the deliverance-type feeling that this road incites. Thank goodness it was still light when we drove in. No lights on that road. To top that sick feeling off, the very first impression of the lodge was very scary looking with trash, boxes, old equipment, etc. Apparently the check-in area aligns with the back of the kitchen and adjacent is perhaps employee quarters which was a mess outside. No A.C. We almost left before going in.
