The vintage styling throughout the hotel is really cool. Comfortable beds.
The pool area was always crowded with insufficient loungers to cater to hotel guests. There was a photo shoot happening one day causing further restrictions in the foyer and pool areas. Food options were extremely limited. Breakfast was only available on one morning of our stay and was on the expensive side. The location of the hotel is not great. Very convenient for IHOP and In 'n' Out and only a short walk to the Walk of Fame, but sidewalks were filthy and the area felt unsafe after dark. Because the hotel is directly on Sunset, traffic/siren noise goes on all night. The hotel does provide ear plugs to counter this, but noise proofing could be much better. You have to opt in for daily housekeeping (supposedly an 'environmental issue'!) but even so we found service really slow with rooms not being made up until 4pm or later.
