The location worked as a hub for our site-seeing plans. It was just minutes from downtown Belllefontaine, which was a lovely town with several great lunch and dinner options. The breakfast in the morning was much appreciated and had several options to fuel yourself before starting your day. Our room was a good size, clean and well stocked. I liked that it had several full length mirrors to use for dressing. The closet was wide, but needed to be an inch or two deeper to accommodate clothes on hangers. Coffee AND tea were provided in the room. Not every hotel provides tea, so I appreciate that since I am not a coffee drinker. The room also had a microwave and a small refrigerator. Every staff member we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. That's always a plus for me!
There was NO elevator and we were on the second floor. We have no problem with using the steps, but had to make several trips to carry our luggage, tote bags and large cooler upstairs. That was a bit tiring after the drive to a nearby community earlier in the day and site-seeing before checking into the hotel towards the end of the day. Plus, after parking around back, near the outside door closest to our vehicle, half way through getting our stuff out of the vehicle we experienced a downpour and got soaked. That outside security door was not locked. The keycard mechanism was faulty, so it was never locked. That would appear to be a safety issue since anyone could come in, even at night. The pool was unusable. It had not been maintained properly to keep it from turning green. That was very disappointing since the picture in their ad shows a lovely inviting pool. It was hot and humid several days, so a dip in the pool would have been welcome. The hairdryer was faulty and actually sparked when I went to use it. I informed the front desk, but told them they could wait until we checked out to replace it. The exercise room was very small and contained one treadmill and one elliptical.

I loved how comfortable the bed was and the price for my stay. The AC worked perfectly!!! Also the room itself was very clean and neat!! The cleaning crew were super friendly as well
They could have had more options for channels on the tv and the front staff could have been friendlier/more talkative. I’m glad I called in advance or else I would not have known about check in or out times.

Location is great. Staff was wonderful, especially Sarah at the front desk. Breakfast had a nice variety and food was fulfilling.
Our room never had housekeeping during our stay, not sure why. The pool was not serviced / clean for 2 days.

The place was under construction and I booked online so I did not know this nor was I contacted by anyone that works there prior to the stay so it was to my shock when walking in and literally through the construction to get to our room… and the pool was green!!! Which was the main reason we booked at this place cuz it had a pool for our girls so they weren’t bored in the room the whole night/morning… so that was a huge bummer when we went to the pool and seen that!!!
I wish I had known about the construction remodel renovations going on prior… as that just didn’t look to great on them from the jump and it’s kinda in middle of no where so not like you could go next door to that hotel lol you know… mainly my review would be due to the pool being green!!! The pics I seen online were all great but that’s not what we seen in person!
