A place to stay (5 of a 10)

1. Close to good fishing spots and just a short drive to the lighthouse. Very nice location (10 of a 10) 2. Outside appearance was beautiful (10 of a 10) 3. They offer an outdoor spigot and water hose to help wash off your wheels and brakes or even the vehicle itself. Great benefit over other hotels in the area. (10 of a 10) 4. Staff was great and very easy to talk too even with a few hiccups out the gate of our entrance but was solved immediately for us. (10 of a 10)

First, got there at 4 to check in and our reservation was made online for a double room and arrive to find out they gave us one for a handicap one bed. I had a receipt online for a double room and they did change it without any issues immediately Second , the room doors don’t close correctly. You have to SLAM the door to close it. Sometimes slam several times before it would catch. As a maintenance guy myself , The latch does not match the door latch and out off the 3 door latch fingers that need to catch only 2 will ever latch so door is not 100% secure and since the plate doesn’t match you can not dead bolt the door either. Hearing the slamming doors all hours of night wasn’t great. Third, the bathroom door was the exact same as the front door you couldn’t close the door, latch don’t catch at all, and anyone can very easily push the door open without trying to do so. Fourth, signs clearly say no animals allowed and all hours of the second night there all we heard was barking from beside us. Fifth, their was no tv remote , had to go to office and have them bring one. Staff was great and very apologetic. Sixth, Refrigerator was warm and no visible signs to adjust coldness. Could hear it coming on and off but never got good and cold in two days we were there.

The room was very nice, exactly what we were looking for. The only issue we had was it took 15 minutes to get hot water to the shower. This may have been due to low occupancy of the motel and it took some time for the hot water to get to our end of the building, it was a week day and off season. It was also right next door to a very good seafood restaurant “Diamond Shoals” and within walking distance of three bait and tackle shops.

Overall we had a great experience.

The location was perfect. My wife and I will definitely come back for another stay.

The ice and Vending machines are only in one location. It’s not convenient for a late night snack or for ice.

The location was perfect. Had a beautiful pool, short walk to the beach

When I booked with booking.com, I was supposed to have a pool view and lower level because I am slightly disabled and have a hard time walking distance (it was even stated in my booking reservation that my room was pool view and 1st floor) and also asked for early check-in, was told they would do what they could to accommodate me. I was on 1st floor, was charged a $50 fee for early check-in and was on the side with no pool view. I was disappointed with this because of my confirmation with booking.com, but refused to let it ruin my vacation

Excellent value and comfortable stay

Clean, simple hotel, very nice pool and sunning area, friendly staff and for after hours check in, a video kiosk and key card machine. Very cool and convenient.

Our new family vacation spot!

The property is in the perfect location! Close to the beach, walking distance to restaurants and overall is just a great little get away spot. The staff was very friendly, the beds were very comfortable.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property!

Nice placement. Not the cleanest - but adequate.

Good pool. Great view from the watch tower. Nice placement. nice staff.

The room smelled like smoke. There were dead insects in the sink and in the bathtub. The toilet paper wasn’t changed. We had the feeling that they hadn’t finished cleaning.

The beds were pretty comfortable. Firm, but comfortable. The front desk staff was amazing! We got there after the regular business hours and we called the after hours number to get a room key and he came to help us right away with a smile on his face!

The rooms were clean. Check in is done through a kiosk.

I asked for the 2 rooms to be together. I was in 114 and my niece was in 102. There were many rooms empty in between the two rooms. I was not happy with that situation. The rooms were clean. Check in is done through a kiosk.
