This Microtel was right off the highway and easy to get to. The desk personnel was very nice and professional. The room was an accessible room and had grab bars and handicap height toilet. Our room didn’t have a walk/roll in shower but had a tub with a bench and grab bars. The beds were comfortable but they were very thick (approximately 10”) which made getting into bed slightly difficult. The pillows are big and fluffy.
When entering the room the a/c was set at 66 and very cold we tried to raise the temp from the wall but it read to use the unit itself. The room did heat up within a few minutes. The rug in the room felt stiff and dirty under foot. Wheelchairs work better on no rugged floors. In the bathroom there was a tub with a shower bench and grab bars. There was NO shower curtain so to keep floor from getting wet you had the use the hand held shower head to get wet and rinse off. I needed to use the bench, for the tub was extremely slippery and has no tub grip strips to prevent falls. Then to put icing on the cake the soap/ shampoo and cream rinse dispenser was behind you when you are seated (the shampoo was empty) and difficult to get to.
The breakfast wasn’t worth it. The bagels were refrigerator cold and no toaster was seen. The pancake making machine wasn’t working.
