Schöner Ort - Hotel nicht zu empfehlen

Die Lage war gut, vor allem um im Anschluss in die Appalachen zu fahren. Der Ort ist schön und es ist direkt nebenan ein Einkaufsladen. Das Bett war bequem und die Ausstattung auch okay.

Das Hotel ist ziemlich alt, die Zimmer riechen muffig und sind sehr feucht, die Toilette riecht etwas unangenehm, es ist sehr! hellhörig, das Personal ist eher reserviert und das „Frühstück“ besteht aus in Plastik eingepackte Mini-Muffins und süßen Teigtaschen sowie schlechtem Kaffee/Wasser mit Geschmack. Der Preis ist viel! zu hoch für die Leistung!

Wir würden diese Unterkunft auf keinen Fall wieder buchen.

Die Lage zur Durchreise und zu den Blue Rich Mountains war ok.

Die gesamte Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und bedarf einer dringenden Renovierung. Das Zimmer roch muffig. Der Teppichboden war einfach ekelig. Das Zimmer war insgesamt in einem heruntergekommenen Zustand. Es gab nur ein kleines Handtuch für zwei Personen. Auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption habe ich dann die fehlenden Handtücher/Duschtücher erhalten, die allerdings sauber waren. In der Badewanne lagen noch Haarbüschel von den Gästen zuvor. Auf das Frühstück haben wir verzichtet. Es bestand aus Kaffee/Tee und abgepackten Muffins. Eine Sitzgelegenheit gab es nicht. Auch die Dame an der Rezeption

I had some kind of nasty stain on the blanket. It looked like either blood or feces . The air wasn’t working well so it was very hot in the room .

Super 8 sucks

It was close to the burial site

Where do I start? We had a dog with us, which I made clear while booking. They put us on the backside of the hotel, where it was all gravel. No grass, unless you wanted to pass by the permanent residents that were a few units down. Not only did they stare at us the entire time, they kept late hours with kids, so they were loud after 9pm. Upon entering the floor was sticky for every single square inch, door to bathroom. The ac didn't work correctly. Had it set on 60 just to keep from sweating. There were black stains on the sheets. There was poop under the toilet seat. There were still hairs from the last guest in the shower, fine, but the shower wouldn't drain. My wife and I both showered in a good inch of standing water. The water pressure was terrible, regardless of the setting. As far as leisure activities, there was no channel guide, no stationary that provided an address, and no bible. We didn't even get a phone book, nor did we get a phone The "continental breakfast" was some pastries from the dollar store, "Mrs freshly's" to be exact. Coffee was terrible, orange juice was "out" They boast a restaurant that's non-existent. I paid for 2 nights, only stayed for one. I had a funeral to attend. It was later than super 8's checkout, but they wouldn't work with me even though the place was essentially empty. I'll never use a super 8 again, and I understand it's appeal, 64 dollars a night isn't bad in today's economy, but this place is less than a 20 dollar a night joint. This 1 night stay cost my 190 dollars with well behaved dog, this was highway robbery, and I hope this place goes out of business soon, what they charge is criminal for what you get. If you wanna feel bad about yourself, visit this motel

Close to town

Found 6 bags of syringes behind the bed next to the night stand. They never cleaned our room. We were going to keep our second night. I had to go to the office after our long day out and get our towels. Breakfast was coffee juice and tastee cake doughnuts. Never once did they offer to move us or refund anything

Fit our needs

It met our needs. We needed a place to sleep that was pet friendly. Great Mexican restaurant across the parking lot, pretty creek, stores in walking distance. Staff was pleasant.

Late arriving customers were very noisy. Thin walls. Not something the motel can control.

Our favorite place to stay when we are in the mountains!

friendly staff, great location, and we have always been able to get a room on the ground floor for my Mom! The mountains are her “happy place” l!!

The only complaint is that the sinks drain incredibly slow. sometimes it’s a real issue!

Needed a place to say to visit town for a few days, was skeptical but ended up being pleasantly surprised.

We liked the room, overall. It was very clean when we checked in. The location was good in our opinion, close to the shops and directly in front of a mexican restaurant which was absolutely delicious. TV was a huge plus.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable, woke up the first morning and our backs were hurting. We stayed in a king size bed room that was handicap accessible, the shower was very nice except the water doesn’t flow directly to the drain so water was getting all over the bathroom floor. Furniture was slightly outdated.

quiet, clean rooms

To be honest, I booked here to escape the Asheville water "crisis". This motel fit the bill: reasonable price, good location, quiet rooms, hot shower. I would not stay here for a vacation (it's not that kind of place), but for a night on the road or a respite from the city, this "ticks all the boxes".

Ok so first and foremost this isn't a high end hotel which honestly I don't care to stay at. But I had a nightmare few days being stranded in the mountains due to my car tearing up christmas eve. I found this hotel the price was amazing the owner was o polite and caring. Check in and out was an absolute breeze. The rooms could use some touch ups but other than that they was clean comfortable and everything. This place was a god send. I would stay there again.
