Motel 6 probably would have been better!

It’s in a beach town

Hotel staff were quite rude. My daughters boyfriend was smoking outside of the room with the door closed and we were harassed about this a couple of times. Keep in mind there are no signs posted outside not to smoke outside of the rooms. The second time the staff have called my room and threatened me that if my daughters boyfriend smokes outside of the room again I will be charged 250 at which time I told them if that were to happen I would dispute it with my credit card company, and that I do not appreciate being threatened like that. The same staff member called at 11:04 AM on checkout day basically to tell us to get out. I’ve never been treated so terribly, and all of my years of travel. I would not recommend this hotel. Besides what I previously mentioned the beds were not comfortable and we’re squeaky. This was overly priced for the type of hotel this is. I will also be writing a review on yelp.

It was ok. No pool or jacuzzi. 2nd night we had a diffeent room and shower was alot nicer. The staff was nice.

The water pressure in our first room the first night we stayed was bad. No indicator hot or cold and when you moved faucet it would shut off. Hard time finding the hot water.

Place was easy to find and nice to be able to walk to store and restaurants.

Location was great. Walking distance for most things.

The ice machine couldn’t even produce two pieces of ice for a beverage

The televisions need to be set up higher when laying in bed you have to adjust and look down. Perhaps they should be hung on the wall.

There was no washing machine on site. Had to go to laundry up the road.

It is ok if you travel on a budget

It is an OK place to stay if you are looking for a cheap accommodation. the staff was helpful and kind. there is plenty of parking, the drive to the beach is short

set the right expectations when you go there. it is furnished with cheap pieces and everything feels cheap. the little fridge was quite noisy

Avoid Rodeway San Clemente

Nothing to like. Rude, dirty. And a rip-off!

Being charged for a Non-Smoking room I didn't reserve ... without refund! Unsafe location. Homeless people looking in cars in the parking lot. Extremely rude foreign desk agent. She ripped me off, pretending to call Booking.com for a resolution, but no resolution nor phone call actually occurred. Worst experience in 52 years of family vacations!

They are not your friend, they want your $.

It is clean has a working fridge, microwave, and ice machine. But my room smelled so bad like cigarette smoke. I can not deal with cigarette smoke. I had to go buy a bottle of fabrezze for the smell

The cigarette smell. The coffee machine covered in ants. I have stayed there a few times and I am homeless at this present time the wife Malu knows my situation. I walked in without reservations because a airbnb mix up. I was charged $272.00 for less then 9 hours the next. Day I was charged $109.00 with a reservation. So friendship or compassion is not their game $$$$$ is.
