Room 7 stayed cool in 94-degree Aug heat wave w/just ceiling fan and not needing a/c bc of how bldg is sited. Lots of light and air bc full window beside front door and on opposite wall, a first; good-size casement window that opens, in bathroom renovated a year ago w/new sink, faucet, shower tile. Apple tree near parking lot -- I sat outside 2 nights on bench provided outside room and saw 2 bucks first night at tree, 4 deer next night; no mosquito bites.
Bed way too high, mattress too firm for me. I am 5' 1" and bed came to my hip, hard to get onto until I borrowed step stool , n/a on site, from friend in town. Friends' beds in Room 1 were lower. No sink strainer so had to be careful not to drop toothpaste cap, etc, down the hole.

Since it's a motel and not a five-star hotel, my expectations weren't very high. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's quiet, nice, clean room and was very relaxing stay. The motel is conveniently located near downtown, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions like Pinecrest Lake.
