I LOVED THE LOCATION AND THE STAFF.

THE PLACE WAS A LITTLE DIRTY LIKE IT WASNT SWEPT. KITCHEN SINK FAUCET WAS BROKEN. AND IN THE LIVING ROOM THE VENT BY THE TV SMELLED LIKE SKUNK ALL DAY AND NIGHT WAS QUITE BAD.

Acceptable stay when nothing else available :)

the room was a decent size, small kitchen area too. The shower was decent. great general area overlooking the mountains and lake Isabelle close too. It had working Aircon :)

checking in was a bit too much of an effort especially after 10 hours on the road. The hotel is linked with a nicer hotel in the local town and you have to check in there. it wasnt clear so it took half an hour to get the key to the room. Also the other hotel was much nicer lol! Dated room.

No breakfast and no office at the location

They could have had a clerk at the location that could check you in rather than sending you to another hotel to check in.

No WiFi available. Coffee machine was not working toaster was not working. Only 1 set of towels fort 2 nights. Staff was not to be found had to search for 1 hour to find someone. Phone to call staff was disconnected. Wouldn't recommend this for family stay. To expensive for what you get. In reply to the reply from Lakeshore Lodge. We did not talk to you after our stay as there was no one in the office. So I find your comments regarding a conversation we had together very strange. We left at 6.00 in the morning, the office was closed and left the keys at the designated box. We could not reach you by phone. The wifi was not working full stop, picture has been provided in my review. There was 1 bath towel person, so 2 in total and 1 washcloth per person. Since we found the office to be unreachable, no one present and phone not working we indeed did not make spend more time to request an extra set. Unfortunate to leave a review this way, I trust you take the comments and work on improving going forward.

There was no staff on-site. Had to check-in at a random different building a half mile down the road. Sketchy location, no water front.

Adequate but very "budget" feel.

Clean and functional.

Old and cheap furnishings. Area outside the hotel looked like a semi-abandoned lot. They used old high school football field astro-turf in the area in front of the rooms. Cheap plastic chairs, the whole shebang.

Glamping

Ice was available, bathroom was clean, plenty of exterior area to play and chill.

Shampoo and conditioner were not refilled prior to our arrival, we ran out of them after the first night. By the time we realized it, it was too late in the night to call for refill.

Air conditioner in All the rooms were loud. Not a "shore" in sight. Pretty sharp turn off of highway..still would stay there again

very peaceful location, good working cooling and comfy beds. just needs more attention to the cleaning and proper workin

big open space, bed were comfy

lack of cleaning and the fridge was not working properly. I had to play around with the temp gauge on the 2nd day to get it to work. The refrigerator just shut off during the day and the fridge got up to 55 degrees.

I would stay here again if I couldnt find a closer place near Kernville.

The location of the house was about 10 minutes driving from Kernville. We were there for Whiskey Flat Day, so wish we were closer into town, but this worked out. Great view of the surrounding mountains and the lake, although the lake is VERY low. Very Very quiet, we didnt see one other person at this facility.

The place is from the 70's and the decor reflects that, but it was okay, and very clean. Just to say, they need to replace the shower heads in both bathrooms, just awful and are probably the original shower heads. One was just a stream of water and you really wouldnt be able to take a shower inside that one (It needs to be fixed right away). The other one was good, except it's leaking and the water is running down the wall right into the handle where you turn it on, and then runs right behind the wall of the shower.... that is probably going to cause some damage in the long run. Heater worked good. Everything is clean like I said, but this place definitely needs an update. They need to redo the porch and railings, stairs, etc. I tripped on the stairs twice, and was very cautious not to fall on them. This unit would definitely fit 6 people comfortably. The young lady who helped us check in was very nice too.

size of property, especially the main room

Problems with the one heater, thermastat didnt work properly and overheated area. had to turn off at night Two of the bedrooms were not very clean. Can provide pictures if needed. Overall cleanliness was not up to standards for VBRO Only three chairs for large dining table. Needs at least three more added.

This room needs a new air conditioner asap

I like this lodge and the sister company Barewood Inn. This is my 3rd time staying here in the past 18 months or so. I recommend it to friends.

My air conditioner worked ok the first night. The 2nd day/night it didn't. I kept lowering the temperature hoping it would help. It kept making a sound that reminded me of someone throwing pebble rocks on a window. Its needs to be replaced as you can see in the picture below. Needless to say, I barely slept all night.

Overall it was nice to get out of the city and we had fun anyway

The location is great. Size of house was great for the family

BBQ was dirty. Freezer wasn’t working and called for maintenance. Never came. House was lacking in amenities.

If you want to spent time in quite and calm area it is good.

I lived this place. It was pretty clean but there was strange smell of mold or something like this in the room. Otherwise it was nice. We came very late to check in and get key in the envelope without any problem. The biggest problem was that on the map it looked like it is pretty close to Sequoia park but it wasn't. Probably it was my mistake because I check just distance to the Park but because it is road through the mountine it took a long time to get to the Sequoia Park. Otherwise the hotel was good, it is on small lake and place is very quite.

The smell in the room was strange. It wasn't duty but it smelled like mold. ANd the distance to the Sequoia Park because the road goes through the mountain it takes long time

Felt very homey.

We were put next to a group of kids that were sooo loud. It sounded like they were destroying the room. The first night was awful. I think they finally passed out. I don’t think the lady on the other side was very happy either. I told her good morning and she snarled at me. I’m assuming she probably thought I was part of that group.

Super clean. Yes its older but I loved it was so clean & staff was super nice!
