Their management is chaotic.Avoid this place if you don’t want your vacation plans almost ruined.
The cleaning lady tried to help.
I attempted a payment to Volcano Village Inn on Oct but my card was rejected, so I went for another property’s services. The Volcano Village Inn held my credit card information and charged my card $1210 in Dec without my knowledge. I immediately asked them to cancel but the manager ghosted me. I tried to call them for two weeks and even went to the property in person hoping to have someone to talk to. I already submitted a lawsuit to local court.

This is a tranquil nurturing place.
Carlos the innkeeper made our stay very comfortable. We would especially like to thank Kiona for helping take care of the cat!
Nothing negative at all.

A wonderful afternoon, night and morning in a beautiful location.
The location is amazing! In a true rainforest, and you are hidden from the other rooms by vegetation all around. Very cool rooms architecturally - clean, lots of wood, etc. Delicious, fresh breakfast!
Nothing that I can think of. It's a very cool place - our second time there.

Rooms as beautiful as it propose, but that is all.
The room is exceptional as showed in the pictures. Very beautiful and clean. The property itself is not a big deal, neither anything else on Volcano Village Lodge, but the room is spacious and comfy. Excellent bed.
Breakfast is disappoint. There is no staff after sunset, which can be a huge problem if you need anything. We needed, and it was very stressful, because we had few minutes to solve the problem before the last staff member leave the property. Property does not offer much. No pool, small tv on the room, dvd only, poor wi-fi. There is a hot tube, but you need to set it up if you want to use.

This is a unique and beautiful property needing updates TLC and staff.
Warming mattress pads. Breakfast fruit. Location of the facility relating to the National Park.
Lack of exterior lighting made for dangerous movement during an extremely wet week. My bungalow the Haleakala had no lighting around the dining table. We were told it was an electrical issue and could not be fixed. We were forced to use flashlights to eat. We were unable to see the controls on the microwave and toaster oven. During our six day stay; three of the days we were not left any water. The morning we arrived there was no coffee or tea stocked in our room. Three telephone calls to the facility produced no call response. WiFi though advertised was nonexistent. One one of six days we were able to receive one text at 5am. I was asked to use the heat as little as possible because the propane tank was inadequate and was only filled once a week. Though an anomaly the rain and cold were excessive and heat was required when we returned in the evening and it was definitely necessary. We were leaving early in the morning and were unable to speak to staff which did not arrive until 10 am. We usually did not return to the facility till after dinner. My understanding is the staff only stayed till 6. The only day we saw anyone was on Saturday morning the day after we arrived.
