The location, nice clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, and beautiful landscaping.
No central air in the room. Only window cooler unit which went off and on constantly. It was loud and disturbed my sleep. I had to operate the cooler even at night due to the heat wave outside.

The hotel is in an excellent location, 5-10 minutes walking from Laguna Village and forest avenue. The beach is walking distance- 10 minutes away. The salt water pool has a nice palm landscape and a pagoda and is well equipped with towels. There are few nice restaurants and cafe nearby. Loved the Orange inn for breakfast and the Cozy cafe for dinner.
The property has just been bought from a previous holiday inn chain. It is run down and requires intense refurbishment of the rooms and grounds. These are planned to happen next winter 2026. Our room-standard room (south building) was a bit small but had all the necessities. Parking is available on site but was too expensive ($40 per night).

Ants, lots of em. Don’t have any food or beverages in your room. Moved us to a room with less ants, but still a lot.
