Decent for a motel

Location is good, parking right in front of the room.

The pillows. Too firm and thick/high, if you have neck problems you won’t be able to sleep.

Maybe new staff? Worst stay of our trip

Came in late and had the weirdest check in process, the reception is a place where 2 people were living and it smelled pretty bad. The guy made us pay and didn't care that we already paid through booking (got the money back from booking.com after). The room was a bit smelly, not too bad. The bed was the worst of our 3 month trip, it was the softest ever and we were constantly in 'hole' in the middle of the bed. We checked out after 1 night, didn't get the refund for the other night, but were happy to leave as soon as possible. Really wondering how the reviews can be this good..

Thin walls, LOUD A/C

Good Location and cleanliness

No sleep. Had a choice between a warm night or A/C as loud as a rocket launch. Chose to try sleep in the warms after blasting the A/C for a while, but then next door came back and had their TV on at a thousand decibels to hear it over their A/C. Also, new owners, no warm welcome in previous reviews.

Its in good location, good theme and facilities. Also bathroom and the overall room was clean

Okay stay, but much room for improvement.

Location out in the middle of nowhere.

Room wasn't as clean as we would've liked (previous guest's Pepsi bottle under our bed, etc). Overcharged form our stay, though I was refunded the next morning after I asked. Also, walls are paper thin, so very easy to hear conversations just outside your door.

A great place to stay in Walker!

The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. The traffic noise was minimal despite the motel being on the highway. The couple running the motel is very friendly.

The rooms are small but they do their best to provide everything that a larger hotel chain provides.

Overall I am very happy with my stay.

Hotel is right off the freeway and easy to access. The staff was able to accomodate my late check in which I was extremely happy about. They also gave me a heads up that the businesses close early so I was able to plan ahead.

This isn't about that hotel itself but the local businesses do close early and I came in later at night. So, if you are coming in at night plan ahead so you don't arrive hungry or needing to buy something.

I’ve the patio and garden area. Nice place to sit and read a book. We bbq in the evenings and play board games at the table

Will stay here again when in the area!

Very friendly staff. Rooms are very clean. Rooms are small, but to be expected in older builds. They are very well kept. The bed was very comfortable as well and they had recently put new mattresses in!

Classic Motel experience with spotless rooms and perfectly functioning fixtures. Good value.

The oddly charming decor was mid-seventies wood panel with linoleum tile and yellow bath tub/fixtures. BUT! Everything was spotless, clean and tight. Bed was comfortable. This was probably one of the best maintained places I've stayed in a long time. When was the last time you used an actual 'key' with room number fob to open your room door? The facility is classic 40's? era Motel design...you park right in front of your room. It doesn't take long to get comfortable and feel safe in your surroundings. I enjoyed it.

Walls are a little bit thin...could hear neighbors on both sides.

Cute and quaint bungalow style motel, right out of the ‘50’s. Clean and comfy, very nice restaurant in the area (Coachwhip).

Noisy or hot (you choose), minimalist

Nice grounds, very arty with sculptures of flying pigs etc if that is your thing. Always nice to be able to park right outside your door for unpacking etc.

The room was hot. We cranked up the cooler immediately and that got the temperature down but the cooler was so noisy. There was also a surprising amount of noise from neighbouring rooms. Still had to where a mask to check in which felt a bit apocylaptic (only 2 of our 21 hotels required this, and perhaps no surprise both were in CA). Front desk was so-so in terms of friendliness. No extras like meals or a pool, only coffee no tea. We knew there was no pool or brekfast, but it was still quite pricey for what you get at around US$112 a night.

Perfect simple stay

The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Our bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed the picnic tables out front along with the ample outdoor seating. Very friendly and helpful check-in.

We could hear our neighbors but still slept well.

Kind and helpful owners of motel near Yosemite

Kind and helpful owners, even helped with a late checkin process. The room was clean, the property is friendly and the location is perfect to visit nearby national parks.

When we were there, there was a heat wave, so the room took time to cool down, but it was nice cool at night.

A lovely small old motel close to eastern sierra recreation areas.

Older motel but the rooms are spotless. All towels and sheets are like new. Excellent location to eastern sierra recreation; fishing, hunting, hiking , etc.. Room charge is lower than typical area motels.

Rooms are small, fine for two people but would be cramped with children. Located close to restaurants in town but these close very early. Alternative dining is a 20 minute drive.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay, beautiful yard with chairs and fountain, quiet place

staff was personable, location was perfect for our plans, bed was comfortable, Walker Burger across the street is very tasty.

Definitely recommend if you need something clean and basic and are spending full days in Yosemite.

The owner is really nice, we had every facility we needed, it was very clean and their yard was amazing!

The room itself had thin walls, was a bit outdated and there was, apart from fishing, nothing to do in the area. Adding to that, Yosemite national park was an 80minute drive just to the entrance (would recommend to bring your own groceries!)

Will highly recommend & hope to have an opportunity to visit the area again.

Dog friendly. We felt welcome from the moment we checked in. Very low key area to unwind. The outdoor food prep area was fantastic. We very much enjoyed sitting on the lawn, by the fountain at sunset.
