The Boathouse

Beautiful views and central to everything.

We really enjoyed the ability to use beach chairs, towels and bikes at the surrounding hotels.

The Annex where we stayed frequently had a bad smell and the noises of other guests were extremely present.

Location on the water was lovely

Due to the nature of being an old building, the floors/stairs were quite creaky and noises easily transferred.

Brilliant location on the waterfront in central area. Busy and fun

A lovely room except for a very uncomfortable sofa bed which meant we didn’t sleep the first night. It was not cheap hotel meaning we paid a lot of money for such a bad nights sleep. Front desk didn’t do anything when we reported it in the morning so we had to chase them and eventually they gave us a second room which was a great solution, but we had to chase to get this sorted out via front desk at another hotel (they shared front desk across multiple properties so not always someone on site to help) which was also disappointing. Decent continental breakfast and use of kayaks was great.
