I was disappointed with the customer service I received during my check-in. After driving for almost seven hours, I was extremely tired when I arrived.
When the receptionist asked me to tap my credit card on the payment terminal, the machine did not recognize my card. She asked me to try again, but I did not hear her instructions clearly. Instead of swiping my card, I tapped it again. Rather that offering assistance or explaining what I needed to do, she made a comment that I found offensive.
Throughout the entire check-in process, from the moment I approached the front desk until she handed me my room key, she appeared irritated to me and did not smile or make any effort to provide a welcoming experience. I chose not to argue because I was exhausted after my long drive, but I believe guests should be treated with patience, courtesy, and professionalism, especially when they may be tired from traveling
