this was a nice little hotel on the top of the hill. coming back to DSM after the hawkeye game, we were really glad to have the room instead of driving home with everyone else. the room was clean and spacious. while dated, everything was in great working order. we were pleasantly surprised at the hotel in general. the room was decorated nicely and perfectly clean. the door was safe and secure, no worries about it being a motel, opening to the outside instead of a hallway. overall, we would definitely stay there again.
even though breakfast was a little lackluster, but since i didn't expect anything, it was good in that regard.

Very quiet room with a lot of charm. Clean, comfortable, homey room. Bed was very comfortable. Very tranquil setting. Good, fast WiFi. Good water pressure. Very good, "home cooking" diner at the foot of the hill, just yards from Crest Inn.

Everything it’s a great property
It’s a very, very nice place one of the best places I’ve stayed in with the exception…
Breakfast is a disappointment, although the coffee was good because it was strong..
Breakfast’s in Iowa is extremely disappointing. Everywhere you go powdered creamer. This is Iowa - MILK for God sake’s. Real whole milk and real creamers. That’s not too much to ask. How about some bananas? Maybe some hard boiled eggs for protein.?
