I had a fantastic stay at Bighem Maison. Our flight's arrival was early morning so for the property to have a check in time of 1pm was amazing. Facilities were very clean and it was interesting to see how the owners chose to build and design Bighem Maison. The property provided almost everything and I felt the owners took great care in thinking what guest may need, such as various toiletries, towels, water, and even bug repellent. These weren't concerns for us but bear in mind the property doesn't have a kitchen area or TV. They do have a kettle, fridge and microwave if needed. They even had bikes to borrow! The owners were exceptionally helpful with our luggage. Thank you so much!
The stairs can be quite steep for some people and you'll need to climb them whenever you want to use the toilet. Rooms were located upstairs and so if you have heavy luggages, it can be difficult to carry them there. We were lucky that we had the upstairs space to ourselves but, if you're traveling with more than 1 large luggage, you may find that space is limited.

Very nice typical stay close to the airport. Responsive hosts who were very nice.
We arrived at night and there was (understandably) no one there to greet us. But we felt a bit unsafe with the door to the outside open all night.

Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, the guesthouse felt authentic. Very easy to find using public transport from Kansai airport. Hosts very responsive and everything very well set up and clean. Enjoyed my room with a balcony! Very nice to have teapot and cups and utensils in the room 😊
I didn’t meet the hosts but they were contactable. I found some hot water to make my tea but wasn’t quite sure where the shared kitchen/dining spaces were.
