it was very comfortable and we felt safe

Accommodating staff, free breakfast, close to parks, apartment size fridge with mini kitchen.

This didn’t bother me but might throw some off, this is used by workers in the area so there are many workers trucks in the car park and they like to hang out in the front of the property and smoke and socialize.

Good location, nice room, and convenient kitchen facilities

Townplace Suites is in an excellent location off the main route that goes through Carlsbad and leads to Carlsbad Caverns. The room is a nice size with a small sofa/bed, king size bed, TV, and an adequately supplied full kitchen which is very convenient. Staff at the reception desk is very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection and the pleasant attendant made sure everything was well-stocked. Nice large bathroom also.

Our room did not have a working phone during our entire stay since it seems that it had been disconnected by the previous occupant and not properly reconnected. Once it was properly connected, it was slowly charging during our entire stay. The TV also would not work properly since it could not access any channels and, because we could not reach the front desk by phone, we had to go down to the lobby to explain the problem. However, the young woman at the front desk was very helpful and came to our room to unplug the TV and make some hook-up adjustments. Also, we did not have an internet connection using our chromebooks until we bluetoothed it by making our phone into the hotspot. We did not figure that out until the morning. For all the inconvenience, the rate was too high. The people at the reception desk, however, who were always pleasant and helpful.

Gentleman who checked us in took time & answered questions. Very friendly.

Breakfast was excellent. The gal described the items — many freshly baked & made. French toast was very good, quiche, & fresh biscuits. For a hotel breakfast, thought was very good.

The suite gave us a chance to relax as if at home, with our own kitchen and streaming our Amazon and Netflix shows on the TV. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and comfortable.

great! would recommend to anyone!

this is an absolute gem. there are grills to use and the kitchens are well appointed. we stayed 3 nights to hike and visit the caverns. i would highly recommend this to people touring the parks or travel nurses. staff was fantastic!

we had a queen comforter on a king bed which they quickly remedied.

Marriott usually is a safe bet, this time not so much.

It was probably the best property in Carlsbad NM. It was central to our stay.

As a long time traveler and Marriott rewards member, I was very disapointed. The pool was not heated nor maintained well. The gym did not offer any headphones to be used on the equipment, but that didn't really matter as the equipment wasn't hooked up to cable. :-( Our room was not well cleaned. It was not a good look for Marriott.

Room was large, well appointed. It also has a full kitchen that I wasn't aware of when booking. Would be great if traveling with kids.

The place is fairly new but rattles and creaks like a poorly constructed facility. Covid restrictions have changed how these places operate and NM has very strict policies regarding masks.

A very comfortable stay if they don't forget to give you your toiletries.

The room is spacious and very clean

Town Place by Marriott was located away from anything else but drivable. We got a very spacious rooms with 2 double beds a decent kitchenette and a sizeable fridge. No complaints on that. I love Mariott for their excellent beddings, sheets and pillows. It's still the best in the business. However no toiletries were given. When confronted as I checked out apparently someone was supposed to offer upon checking in and forgot. It's terrible when you already taking all your garment off and no soap. A small thing that ruins a good stay. Something needs to change so "forget" doesn't happen. It's inexcusable.
