We had a nice and comfortable stay.

For a basement, it was a nice apartment, very clean. Friendly and helpful host.

No daylight in a basement home. The washing machine was broken but there was a laundry service available instead.

Superb

Location was great. Not too far from the monuments and center.

Parking was the issue as there was no parking available with the apartment. You will need to find parking nearby.

it was clean, spacious, and stocked with many supplies. walking distance to everything

the people upstairs stomped the entire time.. the washer and dryer wasn't hooked up. , the sheets on the sofa bed was dirty, but the cleaning guys came right over to change them.

EXCELLET but read the “warning” part of my comment

Picture are legit to what it is! The house was very clean, comfortable and pretty, way better than I expected. The neighborhood is good, with supermarkets and subway station three blocks away. Also, the host was always ready to answer all my texts and very understanding about an issue I had during my stay.

It is located in the basement of the house with its access FROM THE OUTSIDE (some steps down on the right side). The bad side of it is that you can hear people walking around on the floor above. The supermarket and subway station area doesn’t feel very safe with many weird people around. It’s not possible to park on the streets for more than two hours so we had to park in a parking lot four blocks away (less than 10min walking) for $18 hours/day, so don’t forget to put that in your budget when renting this house. Because of that, it’s worthy to always take an umbrella in case it rains, especially in the summer. !!! WARNING !!! I HAD MY CAR STOLEN! I had a Hyundai Elantra 2013 and during the night, my car was stolen while parked on the streets on Girard St. The police officer told me old models of Hyundais and KEAs are being stolen every day in DC so, if your car is one of them, AVOID PARKING ON THE STREETS.

Very good

Overall, accommodation is very nice. The house is near the metro station and convenient stores, very easy to go out and find something to eat. Facility is provided with kitchenware and coffee maker.

Family who lived upstair were walking and running around too loud at night while we were sleeping

Beautiful layout

The location was convenience friendly and I felt extremely secured with the ring cameras.

I needed a mop so could've mopped because I have extreme ocd and needed some light fixtures replaced which I pointed out with manager but other than I felt like I was definitely supposed to be there will be booking again when I come back.

Good hosts, had what we needed but there are some trade offs for the price.

Hosts were great, easy to get to Metro and apt had what we needed.

Booking.com didn’t have accurate info for check in. We were told we would be sent a door code. We had to chase that through the phone numbers which weren’t answered for some days as the manager was overseas and the emergency number wasn’t answered, and its message bank was full. We finally contacted host by email of the DC based business called DC Vacations which we looked up online. The back bedroom has a big HVAC system outside window which woke up guests when it turned on. TV in living room had some issues with falling offline, and we largely couldn’t use it, despite the best efforts of hosts who were responsive and spent some time on the issue. The manager asks that the front door light be kept on for security reasons, but that is quite bright in the front bedroom.

Great city and great flat!

A lot of space in this acommodation. Very clean. Fully equipped kitchen. The host Mrs. Houston was very friendly and had some great recommendations for our stay in DC. Late check out was also not a problem, so we could store our baggage longer in the flat. The area was good. 5-10 minutes to the Metro. All in all, a great home in DC and I would recommend to stay there.

My cousin is a little overweight and when she sat on the commode around the league cracked That made her feel real bad and we didn’t get to go nowhere because she feel like she was fat

Good place, but expensive.

Great space and a lot of room. 2 separate bedrooms and all thing you need, although not everything works great. Location is great, near to shops and metro and neighbourhood feels safe to walk, also at night. A lot of restaurants close to the accommodation.

If you travel to here by car keep in mind that parking is really terrible! No space we're you can spend more than 2 hours and also no paid public parking. The space is very noisy, with people walking above your floor. When we arrived ar 7:30pm the room was not clean. Communication was quick, but not great, but they fixed it. Toiletseat was broken and got fixed. Although a nice a spacious place it felt it wasn't worth the money.

Exceptional

The apartment is spotless with comfortable beds and full kitchen for preparing meals. It’s a very cute neighborhood with grocery store, shops and restaurants. Communication with the property manager is very quick and she was helpful in guiding us around the area, too!

It was very pleasant.

My sister arrived in town prior to our check in time and the owner met her at the property to give her the door code and let us checking early something she usually don't do.

A lot of flies and mosquitoes kept getting into the unit. I think because of where the trash cans were located outside. The fridge inside rail was broken which wasn't a problem for me, and the TV in the den kept freezing when I attempted to watch YouTube but again wasn't a problem for me. I really didn't bother watching television.

Lovely basement, NOT lower level

It was well furnished and had everything needed.

The apartment is not on the lower level, it is in the basement, with very little daylight. I thought it was the lower level as described and used the given security code to open the door, where I walked in on a family who had rented the real lower level. It had the same security code as the basement apartment. We were all very surprised by this, and the other family was of course upset. I reported this as a security concern to the property management that evening in a phone call, where she promised to have someone come out and change the codes. Nothing happened. The lock on the door was functional but barely. For these reasons we left no valuables in the apartment when we were out. The place was clean so no issues there, but we had to kill a cockroach or two...

I would recommend the lovely lower level apartment for a pleasant stay in Washington DC.

This is a spacious two bedroom apartment that has all the necessary amenities. It is a basement apartment, but has windows in the bedrooms for some welcome light. The Columbia Heights metro stop is nearby (~5-10 min walk) and dining and entertainment are close, too.

There was a slight musty smell upon arrival. It dissipated with time and a little air freshener, though.

Very good

It was a great location in a safe neighborhood, the price was great for the area and the amount of time. I liked that it had all the amenities of a regular home including a washer and dryer.

You can hear everything going on upstairs, all the footsteps, talking, people pulling chairs in and out, and activities late into the night. Apartment itself is outdated.
