My wife booked a room at Tru hotel. We arrived at 8PM only to find that at 3PM they gave our room to someone else because we hadn't checked in. They had our credit card to bill the room to. It shouldn't have been an issue. So, I figured on the night before a VA Tech football game, every good hotel would be booked solid and I would either end up in something cheap/filthy or have to drive to Roanoke for a room. I looked on line and Homewood Suits had two rooms left and I saved $200 on a two night stay. The room was clean and nice. It was much larger than the rooms at Tru. There was a full size refrigerator in the kitchen and plenty of room for the sofa and big flatscreen. The Tru will not get my money again.
I have no complaints.

It was perfect for what I was looking for. It had a living room that was separate from the bedroom. Breakfast was one of the best hotel buffets I have had. It was different everyday and was great! The gym had everything I needed to work out. Pool was also clean and had towels. The best part was my son left his prized stuffed animal and they found it and shipped it back to us.
Everything was perfect.

Nice place and clean
The fire alarm went off as soon as we got in our room and the only way we could hear it was because I went for ice ! No horns or strobe in room! Then it was turned off by night manager with no explanation to guests !! This is a disaster ready to happen.
