Loved the log burners and location within the brecons. The welcome pack was a lovely touch.
The floorboards mean you need to bring slippers for upstairs

The owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the house and surrounding area. A comfortable home with modern facilities. It was next to the Heart of Wales trainline which was good fun. Only a few trains each day which was fine. Close to a friendly pub and some local shops including a co op.
On a practical note, some coat hooks would have been helpful and some basic items eg. handwash and washing up liquid. Things that you don't really want to travel with for only a couple of nights. However, wine and flowers made a lovely start to our stay.
Anyone with restricted mobility would probably find the stairs to bathroom and bedrooms a bit tricky . The outside space for pets or very small children also requires supervision at all times due to uneven steps, a drop onto the patio and the fact that the garden is not enclosed.
