We arrived much earlier than expected, before the house was cleaned from the previous guest even, but the host was extremely amenable and unflappable. They let us leave our suitcases at the property while we went exploring and actually let them clean the house! The house was your quintessential English Cottage, which was great for the ambience of my American relatives, but had all the facilities you needed! The location was very convenient for all of the places we wanted to visit, and was quietly very close to the Alpine F1 Factory (10mins). The pub a short walk had tasty beer and food and the churchyard was very "atmospheric". The caretaker was very responsive to any question we had - thanks Brian, we really appreciated the milk and cookies for a much-needed cup of tea on arrival. Beautiful English garden too. Would highly recommend this place.

Feedback from our fitters was there wasn't really anywhere within 10 mile radius for food except expensive places to eat.

The location was lovely, with large garden and spacious accommodation.
The kitchen was very dirty, it took us over an hour to clean up before we could feel OK about eating or drinking.
There was a dead mouse on the kitchen floor.
