Was very disappointing

The coffee machine in the room.

Bed spread, pillows, the position of the TV, broken blinds on windows, the smell of weed (marihuana) and musty smell in the room…bed spread smelled like it had not been washed in weeks.

The place just did not meet our standards.

There were no extra towels or pillows. Garbage was not emptied. No hangers or hooks to put clothes on. The outdoor stairs are in very poor shape.

Will NOT return.

We have stayed at this location numerous times up until 2018. Always was clean, the owner always met us there etc. We figured we’d go back. First thing we noticed when we arrived was lack of maintenance on the outside of the property. Decks unpainted, loose boards, railing on stairs was loose. Checked out the balcony on top floor was soft in spots, only one chair out there with no cushion. Room was ok but had dusty spots in cabinets etc every blind on the windows were broken. Spa controls very hard to use. On to the lobby, dust in cabinets etc very heavy, still has Christmas decorations adorning the downstairs. Very disappointing not what we were expecting from this location. Also when you go outside very heavy smell of marijuana. Very unsettling.

Cute Comfy stay for a night in Jim Thorpe

I liked the personal keurig in the room. It is great not having to check in or out and getting an access code instead. Bed was comfy.

Parking in the back is tight, which was expected so we parked in front.

Booking.com has asked me for a review of our stay. I own a bed and breakfast and I know how important reviews are and how a bad review can really damage your reputation. I won't give you a bad review online but I'd like to make a few suggestions. First it would have been nice to be greeted by the owner. We were there two nights and never saw you once. When we arrive the heat in our room was not on. It was about 20° outside and took about an hour to warm up the room. If you know a guest is coming, you should have the room warm. We were disappointed about the size of the room. The pictures were very deceptive. A chair would have been nice to have somewhere to sit. The TV remote did not work. I would pair your remote to the tv and get one working. The toilet was dirty under the rim. The heater is so loud and it was very hard to sleep. Was very disappointed there was no breakfast and it was on the booking description but not very prominent. There was no tea bags... how much could a few tea bags cost! There were no hangers. How are people supposed to hang up their clothes? I know that sounds like a lot but they are mostly easy fixes. We don't get away often running the B&B so it was disappointing to not enjoy our stay.

it was ok. I feel I’m owed a partial refund for the issues I encountered.

I liked the close proximity to town.

was fairly dark at night. parking is in back driveway with no marking identifying it as the location or address. toilet seat was cracked and painful to sit on. jets in spa tub did not work which was disappointing and part of the reason I chose this suite. I messaged staff day of check out and two days later still have no reply.

very close to where we wanted to be. cozy and clean

It was kind of odd. Everything was done by text, no personal contact at all. I guess that is part of our new contactless world. Would have been nice to be greeted by someone and be able to say thank you to someone on departure. There was a guest book and left our thank you’s there. Other than that, we would go again. Very cozy, clean and charming.

I recommend getting the suite because of the view

Rented the suite and the balcony has a beautiful view of the mountains.

Has a jacuzzi in the room but have to push the on button really really hard to turn it on and do not run microwave, coffeemaker, and heater at the same time or you will blow a fuse

It was ok. alittle disappointing. I paid over 200. the jets didn’t work for the spa tub, pieces of the wall were falling off and the lock to the outside door didn’t work and anyone could’ve open the door

The room was very clean and view was nice, we liked the private balcony.

The hot tub was the main reason we booked this room and we were disappointed that none of the jets worked.

the view was the only good thing

As you walk into the shared deck it feels as it’s ready to collapse. the jets in our tub did not work. when we returned to our room we found the window on the floor and the tv as well.

Location was fine. Bed was comfortable, soft sheets and a warm room.

Room was very very very small. Nowhere to sit but on the bed. No jacuzzi tub as expected. Nowhere to put suitcases. No hangers on rod in open-concept closet. Poor lighting. Sun woke us up due to thin curtains. Bathroom door did not close.

Clean and quiet weekend retreat

Clean and comfortable. Good location a short drive from the middle of town. Private and quiet.

The furniture could have been arranged better for more comfortable relaxing and TV watching.

The room was very clean and nice. The veiw was amazing and the house was beautiful and a quiet nice town

The hot tub was hard to start the blinds were broke and we thought the balcony was just ours but it wasn't and the rail was broke on it.

Loved the location. The view was fantastic from our balcony. VERY clean and well furnished.

Location was about one mile from the train station, which was a pleasant walk for us over the bridge . Of course the foliage was a bonus this time of year too

There were no instructions for the whirlpool .
