It was an authentic, quaint, building and room. The garden outside was a great place for our morning coffee. Walking to the beach was easy and through a fun neighborhood. The continental breakfast had a great selection of choices.
Our room was 85 degrees when we arrived. They should have had the room air conditioner on in anticipation of our arrival. Not the issue of the lodge, but our morning coffee and breakfast outside had to be moved inside due to the construction noise in the neighborhood. I think we got lucky to find a parking space on the street.

We loved the location. The grounds were beautiful. All the flowers attracted butterflies. They always had snacks out and were very generous with water bottles. That is such a huge bonus when a place provides water. The staff was super nice. The ac worked great in the room. Not a far walk from stores, restaurants, and beach.
Nothing to complain about the hotel.

It's close to the water. Parking is easy. The housekeeper was very nice to us; other than her we never saw another person our 3-day stay.
I'm confused by all the stellar reviews. The place is a dump, not a quaint or charming B&B. There are way nicer places to stay on the island so won't repeat this expensive mistake.
