The Oliver, Oxford

Everything was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, luxurious and spotlessly clean, with incredible attention to every little detail. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable, and we loved the high-quality toiletries, bath salts, robes, large soft towels, good hairdryer and even the convenient iPhone charging options. The location is perfect, right in the center of Oxford, with everything within walking distance, and parking underneath the hotel. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. For us, this is definitely a 5-star experience, not 4-star. We loved it so much that we wanted to stay two more nights, but unfortunately it was fully booked.

Honestly, nothing. Our only disappointment was that the hotel was fully booked and we couldn’t extend our stay for another two nights!

It is in a great location and it was very clean. There is a charge for parking of $25 a night which is not explained when you book the room.

No charging USB port, there was no table on one side of the bed or any additional outlets to plug-in electronics, other than one outlet by the coffee maker and one outlet in the bathroom. This is a university town and most people that come to a university town have many electronics that they need to plug-in and charge. In addition, we have Hearing Aids that we need to charge at night. So this was very annoying that there were no place where we could charge more than two or three items. There was also very little counter space in the bathroom so even if we wanted to put more charging items there, there would be no place to put anything. The desk clerk was very nice and she brought us up one USB adapter that we could plug in which was actually very kind of her, but it was laughable. Last , The shower did not have a place to set anything in it as one would normally expect to find a small shelf in the shower.
