My first time in Africa! It was my first visit to Marrakech, Morocco, and my first experience staying in a *riad* (a traditional mansion-style hotel).
Although I only spent three days in Morocco—so I can’t compare this place to other *riads*—I am truly glad I chose to stay here!
The owner, Maëté (who is French), is a wonderful person; she took the time to listen to my concerns and requests, which allowed me to relax completely during my stay. The staff—Hocine, Samia, and Batiha—are also incredibly kind and truly fantastic people.
There’s even an adorable cat named Hiba!
The location is excellent and very convenient. From the rooftop terrace, you can look out over Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and in the mornings, you can hear the sounds of roosters crowing and the call to prayer (the Quran). The breakfast and the mint tea are both delicious.
If I ever have the chance to visit Marrakech again, I would definitely stay here!
The room is a bit small and rather dim.
The biggest issue was that the sink drain didn't flow well.
They didn't have electric kettles available to borrow; however, whenever I asked, they were happy to provide a pot of hot water or even make me some mint tea.
It would have been nice to have some fruit with breakfast, though...

the location is perfect.
clean bed
our room was very noisy, it faces the lobby where people have breakfast there.
the shower head wasn’t one the way, so no good shower involved
