Situated in Holetown, this lovely villa for $174 per night is a great choice for your next break. Located on the West Coast of Barbados, Villa Escape is very near to amazing restaurants, shopping, and beautiful beaches. The villa is appealingly decorated with a blend of wooden and bamboo furniture and ceramic tiles throughout the villa. Relax and enjoy the high ceilings and spacious rooms, all with ceiling fans. The 3 bedrooms have air-conditioning and ceiling fans and built-in wardrobes and vanity unit. The rooms open to a private patio with lounge chairs. The Master bedroom has a queen sized bed with en-suite bathroom, the second has 2 double beds, and the third has two single beds. The sunken living room has French doors that open to a terrace, ideal for dining in a tropical garden setting. The Family room has a flat screen TV with cable and DVR. Free high speed WiFi is provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas oven/stove, microwave, refrigerator, blender coffee makers (drip and 1 cup) and, a full range of cooking utensils. A BBQ grill is available for your convenience. A washing-machine is housed in the laundry room. The closest beach, Discovery Bay Beach, is a 3-minute walk through the public access road to the right of the Art Studios. The beach allows you to sit and bask in the sun or have fun with the various water sports: Jet Ski, water skiing, snorkelling, catamaran cruise, or glass-bottom boat. All beaches are public so you can swim at all the hotel beaches, such as Sandpiper Hotel, which is a short walk from the villa. Dining: A very good selection of bars and restaurants offer an excellent choice of food, ranging from good value fast food to upscale dining. Go to West Bar or Surfside for daily Happy Hour every day from 5:00 - 6:00PM!! On the South Coast, beaches in Christ Church such as Miami (or Enterprise) Beach, Dover Beach or Worthing Beach have beautiful powdery sand and waves!!! On the East Coast, huge Atlantic waves crash along the shore making these beaches better suited for walking and sunning than for swimming. Bath Beach is one of the best along this coast for swimming and includes excellent picnic facilities. Touring Barbados: Public transportation is excellent in Barbados, but hiring a car is a great way to see Barbados at your own pace. This property is great, it is in a perfect location, central to beaches, shopping, restaurants, grocery store is walkable, bank is close by, it was perfect for our vacation!
Maureen, the housekeeper, took great care of us and was very kind, answered our questions and made us feel at home.The kitchen is well equipped, there is a nice patio area in the yard with a bbq (we did not end up using this but was a nice feature). Beds are fairly comfortable and AC in the bedrooms made it a nice temp for sleeping. We opened the windows and used the fan in the main house for airflow. The bookshelf in the living room has an excellent book selection as well!
The beach is a block to the west and we found a couple of beach bars that were perfect for a drink while we watched the sun set.
Small downsides, it is next to a busy main road so there is traffic noise but the yard is nicely sheltered and this never bothered us. The bars on the doors and windows were a little disconcerting when we first arrived but we had no issues during our stay and found everyone to be very friendly.
There is a small street bar next door and Thursday night is Karaoke so it was loud on that night only. Bring your singing voice and head over for a rum punch!
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others. The owner, Lisa, was quite responsive to questions as well. Thanks so much for everything!

Like other reviewers mentioned, it's a prime location with calm beaches, friendly fruit stand, full supermarket, local gift shops, medical clinic, restaurants all within 5-10 min walk. We felt safe but also did lock up with every deadbolt on the property.
The home is comfortable and spacious. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms but the island breeze and ceiling fans were adequate for our mornings and evening meals and family games nights. Valerie, the house keeper, was very pleasant and gracious. The only tip I would offer is, if you like to sleep in, you may want to consider packing a sleeping mask and ear plugs. The home's curtains are no match for the strong morning sun and there is no off button for the wild roosters & monkeys running across the roof. All part of the island's charm!

Fantastic Villa in Prime Location!!!!
Villa Escape was a perfect villa for our family. Directly in the heart of Holetown where you are steps away from beaches, shopping malls, clubs, restaurants and bars it was also a perfect hideaway once inside the compound. Extremely clean, cozy and safe with an area for everyone in our big family of 7 which included great gardens, backyard for boys to play and two separate patios for reading or sun time.
Villa Escape has all the amenities that every guests require with an amazing caretaker Georgina who was extremely helpful to us all.
This is an absolute must as a #1 recommended accomodation in Barbados. It certainly will be ours for our upcoming visits to the island from here on!

Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub in der Villa Escape. Für 6 Personen bietet das Haus ausreichend Platz. Besonderns der schöne große Garten war für die Kinder ein Highlight. Georgiana die Häushälterin ist super. Immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat auch immer den ein oder anderen Tip. Einfach Fragen. In addition to ensuring the upkeep of the villa, she brought us fruit and directed us to local food and attractions that were outstanding. I would recommend this villa to anyone traveling to Barbados.

I suggest to rent a car for the week through the owner's contacts. They are friendly and helpful. We rented a Moke and explored the island easily. Crane Beach is a must!

OMG! This place was spacious! The best mangos - There was a large mango tree in the frontyard -we ate fresh mangoes daily, and prepared smoothies. It was the perfect place for our group to stay - We enjoyed our stay immensely. We were close to the beach - A bus ride away to various other pristine beaches, walking distance to restaurants, my favorite "Just Grillin" excellent fish dinners - A most go to eat! Mews is a good breakfast place to eat. You are in walking distance to Limegrove(favorite club locals hang out) fantastic music - Shopping malls, and not far from Westmoreland a beautiful golf course. I will be back! Many thanks to the staff at Villa escape in making our stay enjoyable.

One of the best holidays
The best thing about Villa Escape is its location. Secluded garden in the middle of Holetown. Nobody disturb you but you are still just a walk away from everything. Bus stop around the corner linked us with everything we wanted to see in Barbados.
House was clean and had lots of space. Actually in real life it looks better and bigger than on the photos. Since we came from cold winter - our favorite place was definitely the terrace. Barbados is quite expensive but fully equipped kitchen did let us cook our own meals.

Great vacation at Villa Escape!
The villa provided a wonderful first experience for me in the Caribbean. It is situated at quite an ideal location on the island, right across the street from a beautiful beach with jetskiing and snorkelling availible anytime we wanted. Everything you could need (groceries, bank...) is within 5 minutes walking distance.
The villa itself is beautiful, the high ceilings were a great surprise, making all the rooms feel so spacious. We had all the fans constantly running for a nice breeze throughout the house, and they were a blessing in the bedrooms at night.
It was also nice to have the security of the safes in the bedrooms, as well as the wrought iron on all the exterior doorways, since we left the doors open a good part of the time for the breeze.
Georgiana took beautiful care of the house, and had a wealth of helpful information about the area.
All in all a wonderful vacation spot, will definitely be going back!

Villa Escape was an ideal base.
The villa lived up to our expectations. It was in an ideal location, close to the local shops, supermarket, numerous restaurants and close to great beachs. The fact it was close to the main road was not a problem, be cause the local buses stopped outside. So in effect we did not need a car to get around. The villa was a very good size so offered lots of space to relax in. We recieved very good information from the owner before our visit. This was our third visit to Holetown and one of our party as difficulty walking sometimes. But this wasnt a problem because Villa escape was handy for all the local amenities.
Another bonus was the maid Georgiana, who was very good and very helpfull. She kept the villa very clean and was always able to answer our questions. The property was very clean and reasonabley maintained. The minor problems where that the fans in the bedrooms did not work, but the owner did warn us of this before our visit. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was a godsend because it was very hot during our stay. Maybe air condioning in the lounges could be something to consider for future developement. The safe in the bedroom did not work but this wasnt a problem as the Villa was very secure. We had a great stay and would certainly recommend it to other people.

Villa Escape, a charming villa
This was our first vacation to Barbados. We were just with the two of us. We found Villa Escape a nice and charming villa and Barbados is great! We give a rate of 4 because we were disappointed that not everything worked well, for example the ceiling fan in the master bedroom (and we don't like using the air conditioning) and the tv and safe didn't work. Also the computer needs to be updated. We haven't sit in the garden or on the terrace once as we found it to close to the main road and therefor, to noisy.
Georgiana is great and we loved her.
However, we had a great vacation and did enjoy our stay in the Villa.

An excellent vacation place
The property was as described and was clean and well-maintained. The owner provided good customer service and I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. We were close to the beach for swimming and the restaurants nearby were fabulous (if expensive!). The maid service was also great and we liked Georgie very much!

Great Vacation at Villa Escape
This was our fifth vacation to Barbados and specifically to Holetown. We brought another couple with us and this was their first trip to the Carribean. Villa Escape was paradise to quote Lee who was travelling with us. It was everything we expected and more. We were six and so enjoyed having the space. My rating is 4 Good because the ceiling fan in two of the bedrooms didn't work although the air conditioners worked fine. But it would have been nice to just have the fan sometimes. The kitchen was well equipped and the BBQ a nice extra. We used it a couple of times. We usually had breakfast and lunch at the Villa and often went out for dinner. Georgiana, our housekeeper, took great care of us. She is a gem and it was wonderful to see her again. Villa Escape is close to the grocery store and after our initial shopping trip, which we had delivered by taxi, we just walked over whenever we needed something. There is also a nice fruit stand just aorund the corner. It is also close to many great restaurants, both low and high priced. We were able to use the beach at Discovery Bay and rent beach chairs at a very reasonable rate. The villa was very clean and has many security features. We felt very safe there. The Clark's (the owners) were extremely helpful and provided lots of information. I would definitely recommend Villa Escape if you want something a little different than the all inclusive. We will definitely be reserving Villa Escape again

Excellent Villa close to the beach
The description on the web site is accurate. The villa is in a good area (Hole Town- central to the west coast) across the street from the beach. It is a good location to launch off on site seeing trips. It is within minutes walking to many good restaurants.The Villa was clean and well equiped. The housekeeper is very pleasant and will help you with anything you need.
The bottom line is that we were very happy with our accomodations and the opportunity to enjoy what Barbados had to offer.
