Motel 6 Petersburg, VA - Fort Lee

Close to freeway and minutes from downtown Petersburg. Manager was friendly courteous and helpful

Being woken up at 11.18p by banging on my room door by a rude desk clerk who insisted that I move my car. This even though the desk clerk who checked me in had not raised the issue. The clerk who insisted I move my car said the first clerk didn’t know where I could and couldn’t park my car. Result lost sleep and aggravation for 1 night of a 2 night stay

Pulled off the highway to get some rest. I always just get a cheap room. The room was absolutely nice! Smelled of bleach and fabuloso greet me. Bed was super comfortable. Great staff and place.

The rooms were super clean! The staff at check in were super friendly. Not the best part of town but the lighting was good and I was not concerned about taking my dog out at 2:30 am. I’d stay there again without a problem.

Getting off I95 and to the hotel was a little confusing, but getting on in the morning was a breeze. Not a lot of food options but Uber Eats worked great!

The room was very clean and sheets were clean. We appreciate the fridge and microwave as well and the pet fee was nothing crazy. Pricing was okay.

The only bad thing about this motel is that it’s a very bad area. Please be aware of the lower class area. We were very nervous about our vehicle or getting robbed/broken into. We did not feel safe at night due to the high level of crime. We had to check out early because during the last day on the 4th of July around 11am we got back in from breakfast and it seems some bad men were scoping out cars and people to commit crimes later on. One even followed at a distant behind us and checked back to see where our room was. We felt a bad feeling and immediately packed and left to our family’s home 30 mins away. We did not get our refund back for the last day but I guess that’s okay. Just exercise caution and always be aware that Petersburg isn’t such a safe place. My husband (24) and I (23) and our 8 month old dog stayed here
