Everything was not as stated. There was no continenal breakfast, no hair dryer & no iron.

They did not have continental breakfast as stated. They sent an email confirmation and never stated no breakfast on the email. I would have considered another hotel because of this, or would have requested a reduced rate. They have it posted at their front desk but at that point it's to late to cancel. They had donuts and pastry out on the counter and in their vending machine that was expired 2 months ago. I did tell them at the front desk when we were leaving and her only reponse was they just bought them at Sam's, which is not true. She had like an "Oh Well" attitude.

The staff was over-the-top nice, and the location was great. I'd stay there again.

The staff was very nice and the downtown location was ideal. It was pleasant to walk the town. They have several nice shops and restaurants. The staff took great care to make sure I had the things that I needed.

I did not like the super-soft bed! I felt like I was in a Squishy-Mallow toy! I ended up bringing an outdoor chaise lounge into to sleep part of my nights. With recent renovations it's unfortunate they didn't incorporate new philosophy in travel accommodations (such as those the Indigo Hotels have). There was not a closet nor any hangers in my room, only a large dresser. This means I always had to throw my jacket over a chair or on the bed. This could easily be remedied with a 5 foot bench with a hanger-bar over it. I could have set my open suitcase on it, had room to sit down to put on my shoes that I would have stored under the bench. Also I prefer to arrange my intended-outfits on hangers when I arrive.

Lied too.

The location

I always shy away with long reviews but this one is worth the read. The operations manager! I booked 2 double beds in 2 rooms in January. Showed up to a single king in each. The manager blamed Booking.com for everything. He said there was no way to contact me, yet I've received 6 emails through booking from the motel in the last day. Since there were no other rooms available in the area, my fishing buddies and I had to share beds. There were many other lies told during our discussion. After writing my review miraculously he called my cell phone! More lies! First of all, after stating over and over I couldn't be reached because I booked through booking, now he's stating they called me in February! There is no way I would have kept my reservations with single beds. No, I didn't agree to and was not happy with the $200 discount that you yelled to the staff as you walked away. He's also stated that booking was ripping me off by overcharging me for a room that should have been $166 instead of the $244 I was going to be charged so the $200 offered brought my total for two rooms two nights down to $644. At $166 a room per night would have come to $664. So, he actually gave me $20 back.

Excellent!!

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was much larger than I expected it to be. The bed was super comfortable. I'm used to hard hotel beds, and this one was perfect. The room was clean. I have stayed in many 3+ star hotels, and I like this place better than most of those. I will definitely stay here again.

Overall I had mentioned, it is a great place to stay.

Loved the location. Next time I go to Manistee will definetly stay at Manistee Inn & Marina. The only thing is that is a little outdated and will be nice to see it upgrade it. Also, the drainage in the tub was really slow. That should be corrected. Mostly more important we saw a hole on the ground of the parking garage in front of the building and that shoul be taking care right away. It will be sad to see the building colapse. Please fix this so nothing bad happens.

That had old bathrooms with really short toilettes. I have a higher one at home and more modern that helps save water.

Unexpected luxury

I didn't go to breakfast, but there is a shop right in the hotel building; location is great! All main attractions are within 1-2 blocks from the hotel. And the boardwalk is passing by. Rooms are clean and spacious; I was in the one facing the river -- it was very calm.

Be aware that reception is closing at 9pm; the building is locked, so you need to get a key (old-fashioned one) to get into the hotel off hours.

With no tv working was kinda boring I use it to go to sleep at night. but bed was excellant

Our tv never got fixed or worked, No hair dryer in room, Could have used a extra chair in room. Didn't even see the clock till next morning it was hidden by bag on nightstand. My bad, Was told I would be compenstated on next stay with 50% off. But never got a conformation he was just gonna remember our name??

Excellent, charming little hotel in a great location.

Our stay was excellent. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The man who checked me in was very nice. Our room had been recently renovated and they did a really nice job. The view of the river was good, the bed was comfortable, the location is excellent. I was able to go around the riverwalk. Very charming little hotel. We plan to stay again in the future.

I was sad to find there was no breakfast available even though it's listed on their website that they provide it. The parking situation also isn't great; they have just a handful of spots in the front and it was never explained to us that there was more parking underneath the building. (I only found it because I walked down by the river.)

It was ok for 1 night

There was no breakfast and bed was so soft we almost sunk halfway to ground,definitely like a firmer bed,otherwise nice!

Very good

Off season. Was told there was no breakfast.

Only minor issue was bathroom sink was very slow to drain. Some rust and sediment in hot water line. This is/was no surprise in lightly used lines in aging Michigan water plumbing. Not a problem
