Wifi was bad

The room had everything we needed for a short stay and was nice & clean.

The WiFi was awful - the slowest we’ve come across in our 3 weeks of travelling round NZ. Very frustrating. Also quite close to road so could hear traffic going by.

Great location and comfort - good value for money for a Kaikoura Stay.

THe location is only a short walk to bar and restaurants. Standard of cleanliness was high and our unit was comfortable and there was lots of hot water for showers. Little noise at night despite being on a main road.

Very convenient, would stay again

Great location, clean, good value. Fiona was very helpful with checkin and resolving an issue with the internet.

There was a bit of road noise but after a while we didn’t notice.

The living area was cosy for the group of us to hang out together. Decoration is homely, location was great, walking distance to the whale watch place and to restaurants

The 2nd toilet was a little small for me.

The staff were lovely and upgraded me to a bigger room for no extra cost. Big bonus was that it was super pet friendly!

Close to town and attractions. Off street parking. Very clean and all that one could wish for.

Traffic noise at night is a bit off putting.

traffic noise can be an issue for some travellers, apparently the owners are upgrading to double glazing soon.

The location was covenient for the Whale Watch Tour and the station - we didn't have a car. The owner was friendly and helpful, and stored our luggage for us while we went on the Whale Watch tour.

The positioning of the shower was odd, you kind of stepped out of it right into the corridor that was also the kitchen. Some road noise (but of course you that was partly due to the location being so convenient for the station!).

The staff is super nice! Was upgraded to a very spacious room that was extremely comfortable. Location is very nice. close to the beach, the whale watching center and town. enjoyed it very much!

Fantastic staff, so professional and friendly. Nice enough accommodation for 2 nights. They are upgrading their windows soon which will improve the noise created from the road, which wasn’t that bad. We had a queen room (as per photos) with a hob etc and used it to cook our meals. There’s a laundry on site $4 a wash and $2 dryer lasts 20 minutes so all done for a bargain $6. We felt it was good value for money. The location is approximately 300m from the intercity bus stop in the centre of Kaikoura, so perfect for us. After we checked out, we went on the Whale watch tour and left our baggage with the lovely lady in reception (no charge) and collected it later that day as boarding the last bus to Christchurch.

It’s nothing flash but it’s functional at a good price. There’s lots of shops & cafes along Beach Road and the town centre in the other direction is literally across the road and over a pedestrian footbridge. The ocean is less than 5 minutes walk away and beautifully wild. You can walk the whole peninsula to see the seal colony as it’s spectacular.

Very pleasant.

Great location being a 5 minute walk into town. Camping area nice and quiet.I had a dog and it was great to be able to walk him around the grassy area in the camping space.

The facilities were very good. I found it all most satisfactory for my needs.

Disappointing

Whole place was incredibly run-down. As for our supposed 'garden view', there wasn't one. Neither a view, nor a garden.
