Overall, our stay felt almost as if we were camping in the room. Disappointing visit.

The included breakfast was OK. There were a couple of breads & breakfast rolls, a variety of milks (oat, soy, & dairy) and yoghurt (all one flavor). There was a plate with lunch meat and another of cheese. Tea was available as was coffee from a dispensing machine. The room was pretty spare but it did have a mini-fridge. The hotel has an elevator which is good in that the rooms are three or more stories above street level.

The hotel was lack luster in almost every aspect. None of the staff spoke any English. No parking was available yet the facility is a couple of miles from attractions & services so one needs to have a vehicle or rely on taxi service. The hotel is in an older section of town with very narrow streets. On street parking is available but every space was full for blocks & blocks. We dropped off our bags in the room and drove around hoping to find a parking space. Finally, we found ONE empty space literally about 8 blocks from the hotel & we walked back. The room was far from luxurious. Lighting was poor with three lamps - only two that worked - equipped with low-light energy-saving bulbs. Soap dispensers in the shower didn't work. We were provided four little packets of body wash for the sink in lieu of hand soap. I used 2 of the packets to shower. We were provided two bath towels, one hand towel & no wash cloths. We were unable to get the room heater to turn on, so it was cold. The room had two single beds pushed together with a comforter & sheet. In the closet we found only one extra blanket. I gave the blanket to my wife and slept with extra clothing. The beds, themselves, were comfortable enough. There were no usb outlets to charge phones or tablets. There was no coffee pot in the room. My wife wanted hot water in the evening & inquired at the desk. The hotel staff said no hot water was available & sent her down the street to purchase a cup of hot water at a local bar. I walked with her to the bar but it turned out to be closed. The next day when we went to breakfast we learned there was a hot water pot in the hotel's breakfast room that she could have used. We have no idea why the staff didn't tell her that the night before.

Get a room on a lower floor since heat rises!!

The breakfast was good.

My room was so hot I had to ask for a fan. It took quite some time for the room to get comfortable. I could not sleep for most of the night due to the heat.

old fashioned family run hotel very close to eveything and with a very decent buffet breakfast.

great location, rooms were basic but clean and absolutely fine for a short stay. breakfast was enjoyable and included a little kid’s play area and a nice lady helping at breakfast.

we were forced to pay for a triple room even though we should’ve been allowed to book a double with a cot for our 2 year old. this may have been booking’a fault but the man on reception was very unhelpful even though his brother had suggested we ask for a refund of the difference in price. In addition although the rooms were really clean there was bad drain smell in the room in the morning but it may have been because it had rained the night before as can happen in Spain.

Exceptional

This hotel was reasonably priced for what it offered. It’s a basic hotel but delivers well on what it offers. The staff throughout are friendly and helpful. Every part of the hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained and the breakfast was excellent.

very well located, very nice staff, we stayed in a suite and it was a very big room and very clean. the bed was really comfortable.

only missing a dairy free milk option at breakfast. having almond, soy, or oat milk would have been nice.

A good place to stay for its money

It was our third stay here, the place is worth its money, it's not so far from the beaches and the tourist center where all the bars and reastaurants are. The room is clean and tidy. Breakfast is included, you get some cheeses and meats and pastry and fruits. The area is nice and there's a supermarket just around the corner, and Mercadona and Lidl are in walking distance. Overall, good place to stay for its money.

The room we were given had a constant smell of sigarettes (probably, it got in from the ventilation), it was hard to breathe there for non-smokers. Next day we asked for another room, and they gave us another one, and it was better. Also, mattresses are very hard, it was hard for us to have a good sleep there as we aren't used to very hard mattress. And for two people two single beds together is better, it's more spacious than one queen bed, it was too narrow for us (its width is about 120 or 140 cm only).

Updated review after a rude reply from the hotel

Large and nice bathroom with a bidet. Good quiet location that is close to the main streets and beaches.

Window looked onto a lightwell. Strange smell in the room that was concealed with aroma stick's smell when I first arrived. Breakfast is very simple with no real coffee. UPD: maybe coffee is real, but diluted... Regarding coffee, the hotel rudely messaged me that I need glasses. Screenshot attached. Such a communication style is inappropriate for me. Hence the rating.

Bad

Nothing. It was a big old hotel, obviously very busy and successful at one time but not now

Everything. We booked the suite which had been double booked by the time we arrived( less than an hour later) so we had to change for a normal room. I asked for a room with a bath and I was given a room with a shower. It was a room that clearly had had a lot of smokers in and it smelt like an ashtray so I went down and I asked reception if we could have another room with a bath. They then gave me a room with a bath but without a bath plug so I couldn’t actually have a bath and the worst thing for me was when we went to bed and we saw that there was stains of faeces and blood on the sheets. When we complained we were refused access to the complaints book and the staff were aggressive. They tried to retain us outside in the street and actually accused my partner and i in public of being responsible for the stains. It was a dreadful experience. I would not recommend this hotel or it’s staff to anyone. The service was appalling and aggressive and they insisted on charging me. My only regret was not to take any photos. We were due to stay 2 nights but stayed one (20th June 2020). We only stayed because it was 2am when we realised there was no plug and found the stains. We removed the sheets and slept in the bed without them.
