This was not our first visit to the Royal Victoria Hotel and as our previous visits the levels of service, cleanliness and ease and comfort of the accommodation were exceptional.

It was very close to the base of the mountain, so it made for an easy start & end for a day of climbing.

Kinda dated, but it has its charm.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our weekend plans. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room wasn't particularly clean, hairs in the bath tub etc. The soap and shower gel were poor quality. The breakfast wasn't great,the hot food was cold and the coffee wasn't hot either. The whole building was dated and a bit scruffy.
