The breakfast was great and service from the staff was very good.
The location wasn’t great. Nothing within walking distance but we got an uber into Caen for €10 euros. No air con and room very small on ground floor so people walking right past room when we’d opened the window to account for lack of air con.

Our stay at Hotel Crocus was an unforgettable sensory experience.
The room was comfortable, the staff was nice, and the location was good.
The only issue was the bathroom ventilation system, an engineering masterpiece apparently designed to make sure that whatever happens in the toilet becomes a shared experience for everyone in the room.
After my friend ate mussels for dinner, we discovered that Crocus offers something most hotels don’t: 4D accommodation.

Friendly hotel, convenient easy to find location with parking, self serve breakfast , very good value for money.
Compact rooms but everything you needed , except air conditioning (in a heatwave ) Would normally be ok .

Very handy for disembarking or accessing the ferry. Easy access outside of reception hours.
The rooms are a little tired but quite acceptable and very clean.
