Very good

Location was perfect as it is just 3-minute walking distance from Mall Road. Overall the resort was calm and quiet & can stay within the touch of walking cloud inside your room.You will not get the Kanchanjaungha view from the room because the location is opposite to the Kanchanjaungha but if you walk only 3-min then you can easily see it if the sky is clear.Food is good but the price is little higher.If you are a nature lover, this resort is the perfect place for you.

Male reception manager was not so friendly or cooperative

It's better if you keep Parking facilities in property .

Room is quite speaces.

Mattress is really hard its quite uncomfortable to rest.

I would definitely visit once again

The rooms were really nice and had a heritage look. The location is excellent and very close to the mall. The staff was also very helpful and catered all our requests.

No chance to bring a car so troublesome for people travelling with heavy luggages. The rooms have an eerie feeling so some people can get spooked. But nothing that I experienced to support this.

Regretted having opted for Central Gleneagles Heritage Resort

The location of this hotel was it's only plus point. They had no provision for breakfast, no cold drinks etc. Even the taxi booked for the airport through them was overpriced. We were told last minute that porters were unavailable......The manager Rudolph along with his staff however did help out.

Shabby linen, no facilities..........no toiletries in the bathroom.........sagging shabby mattresses

Worth repeating, value for money

Good hotel in the lap of nature, rooms were good with huge windows and a lot of privacy around. A perfect place for honeymooners. There is so much greenery around the hotel, good landscape and flowers in every corner of the hotel. The food was good, view was excellent and great location. Overall a memorable stay.

Lovely holiday

It was a nice walk to the hotel, they served a good tea as welcome drink. We loved the spacious room, the view was awesome. The receptionist guided us for the sight seeing tour around Darjeeling. The location is superb, on the Mall Road and the walk around it is heavenly with beautiful exotic trees and small birds. No vehicle movement here and NO pollution here, one can smell the freshness in the air. The Chinese dinner and good breakfast added to the joy of staying here. Good value for money.

Enjoyed the mountains here

The hotel was recommended by a friend, who comes annually here. It was worth listening to him. The place was simply breathtaking, view was stunning. Each part of the day the view was different, from early morning to evening. Sunrise view was awesome, from our room which was with a terrace. We loved sitting here in the evenings with listening to soft music and watching the stars. It's a very different experience to stay here which is on the quieter and the peaceful side of the Mall road.

Feel the nature, good place to stay

This hotel actually gives the feel of proper hill station, with mountains all round and beauty of nature. Best part is the walking and horse riding zone in this area, you couldn't ask for more. Hotel is a 6 room bungalow with a huge open and garden area. All rooms get fantastic view of the mountains and even sun rise early mornings. Rooms are well maintained and even the breakfast is good. Worth repeating this holiday.

Nothing. All the pictures are deceptive. The property is not maintained at all. Waste of money.

Pleasant

The location was good, breakfast was good and the behaviour of the staff's were good. Room was big and spacious if amenities were a bit Mordenized it would be great.

The problem is direct transportation to hotel is not possible so you need to walk around 10 mins to reach the hotel. Also it's kind of old age when it comes to facilities.

Location is really excellent.

Staffs are very indifferent. They cannot smile! Their breakfast means, Poori-Sabzi, no Continental.

Not value for money

The location is great, the rooms are really huge but not comfortable.

The room heater did not work. It was really cold. When asked for a replacement, the replaced heater was worse. 21k for 3nights and such a disappointment.

Heritage feeling but one must consider all aspect of living

Location is nice, good for honeymoon couple. Scenic view from window. Hotel has heritage look. Wooden floor looks nice. Staff is courteous. As per hotel standard food was admirable against other review I observed earlier.

It is around 500 meter walk from vehicle drop area so for check in and check out of luggage you depend on potter to carry luggage. Obviously you should pay to potter for their assistance out of courtesy. It is around 1 km away from restaurant areas and hilly area walking with kids is difficult, since vehicle can not reach to doorstep of hotel. Wooden floor makes crackling voice in the night which may disturb others sleep. They have traditional square heater which needs to put on the floor, with kids heater on ther floor could be risky and it restricts their movement in the area of room where heater is placed. In the suite room provided heater was not sufficient and only 2 sides were on because as per staff all sides of heater can increase higher load of electricity and can cause damage because of very old electricity set up. Table tennis table surface is not straight so don't expect to play.
