Lovely host. Breakfast was basic but good. Accommodated for vegan needs.
10 minute walk away from the town centre, so it's quiet, but just close enough.
It's a little out of town, up a short steep path from the railway station.
Don't get put off by reviews complaining about it, get a tuktuk from the station, it's not far.

Amazing views, wish we’d stayed in Ella longer. Best breakfast we’ve had at a stay in Sri Lanka so far. Helpful staff always smiling!!

Location
The air conditioning was not working properly, the remote was locked, and the water pressure was too low to take a shower.
