About this cottage rental
Located in Oden, this lovely cottage for $250 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. One of six privately owned cottages on Crooked Lake in a family oriented park-like setting located near the popular sand bar. This cottage is full of natural light in a comfy, pine interior with all of the necessary amenities. This is the perfect place for all seasons. The cute one bedroom, large loft (that includes 2 queen beds), and two bathroom cottage sleeps six. The kitchen is well stocked for whatever you can imagine you might need. 450 feet of shared waterfront frontage and half is a sandy beach. Shallow and sandy bottom water makes for the BEST and safest swimming on Crooked Lake. Relax and kick back in the evening by roasting marshmallows from one of the multiple bonfire pits. If you are interested, we have sit on top kayaks and stand up paddle boards for rent for $100 each per stay (up to one week). We have 2 child size kayaks and a lily pad (water mat) also for $50 total for your stay up to one week. We have a variety of sizes of life jackets included. The Little Traverse Wheelway bike trail can be accessed just across the street from our cottage. Enjoy a great bike ride to Petoskey or the cute town of Alanson, just 3 miles north. If you prefer a walk, there is a one mile walkway past the historic homes of Crooked Lake, which begins just down the street from the cottage. Our comfortable resort also includes volleyball, small basketball court, and horseshoes. You can really relax here! There is a boat slip in private marina included with cottage rental. Jet skis can be anchored in shallow water off the beach. Cottage is approx. 100 feet from the beach and lake. The cottage comes with the use of 2 parking spots on the road side of the cottage. The spot in front is for the owners but won’t be used very often. Lots of restaurants, golfing, and shopping close by-and only minutes from Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. The Odawa Resort casino is only 15 minutes from cottage and Mackinac Island is only 30 miles away. A great location! The beach and park-like setting with boat docking makes this a unique vacation property. If you need more space, we also own property #1502387, which sleeps 8. Reserve now to rent this cozy cottage only seven miles from Petoskey and nine miles from Harbor Springs!

Had a great weekend away for our anniversary with the kids. The use of the lilly pad was absolutely perfect and my the kids LOVED spending a bunch of time at the beach.

House was very clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable. Cluster of lake homes share a beach and small marina. Simple check-in and out. Close to everything needed while on vacation. If you have kids, renting the lily pad and kayaks is a must! Perfect vacation to Petoskey.

This cabin is cute and clean and the owners are great hosts! The location of the cottage has zero private space and is very close to the highway consequently making it too noisy for us.

Adorable cottage
I loved this cottage. It was clean, cute and well stocked. It's in a convenient location for all sorts of activities. The little beach was clean, the water is nice and shallow and clean. Chairs and umbrellas are provided which is a major plus for me. There is a small marina to dock your boat, with a boat launch not too far away. The parking with a boat trailer is a little tight but we made it work. We will for sure stay here again.

Wonderful Family Weekend
Our family thorough enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend. They had everything we needed to keep 3 teenage boys busy. The lake was beautiful. We have every intention on renting there again!

Amazing summer vacation
We have been vacationing in the Petoskey area since I was a little kid. This is by far the best place we have stayed!

It was a great week @ Megan & Tom's cottage! The cottage was as described and pictured online. It is accurate that the front bedroom does hear road noise since it is up against a busy road, however it was not a deal breaker and did not bother us. We spent most of the time in the kitchen/living room and of course outside. It was cute, cozy and had all the essentials. Loved having a washer/dryer as well. There was a new gas grill on the property so we grilled almost every night. There is a grocery store (Olsen's) a few miles away to get groceries and bundles of wood. After grilling each night we swam and then had a fire down on the beach overlooking the lake. We also rented the kayaks to explore the lake. There is a nice 10-15 min walk along the water in front of what looked like family owned homes/cottages. Even though it rained 1/2 of our stay we made the best of it and explored. Charlevoix, Mackinac Island and the Sleeping Bear Dunes were a fun day trip. Also check out Pond Farm Winery/Brewery for lunch and drinks as well as the nature walk close by. Megan and her family were great, we met them one night doing smores and our son enjoyed a little basketball with Sander their son:) We would definitely recommend staying and we would return as well:)

Ultimately, we had a very nice stay and the owners were very gracious, making sure we had all the amenities we needed.
I would recommend this property. It is in a great location and just minutes away from Petoskey.

Megan and Tom Cole are the nicest people to rent from. Their cottage was so beautiful and clean. The decor is perfect. Beds were comfy. Well stocked kitchen. Kayaks and lily pad were right next to the cottage for easy access for my son and his friend. Any questions, we had were so quickly answered. Petoskey is close to get anything we needed. It was seriously one of the most fun and relaxing vacations we have had in awhile. We will be back!!!

Lovely little lakeside cottage
We had a wonderful time at this property. Check in and check out were easy. The property owner was very responsive and did everything she could to make us feel at home and comfortable reaching out to her. She had lots of great recommendations in the area. The kitchen is well stocked. The place was very clean which we especially appreciated given the pandemic. Close to both Petoskey and Harbor Springs with lots to do in the area. You can see the lovely lake from the unit but the parking lot is between the unit and the lake. My only other complaint would be that the unit is very close to a busy road. Didn’t bother us really but could be a turn off for some. Overall very happy. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.

September Getaway
Great little cozy cottage. We chose it for the access to the bike & walking Trailway and private beach. We had a super view of the lake ( until cottage #4 was occupied ) Beach was a good sunset viewing spot. Oden is close to many activity spots in the Petoskey area. Be sure to check out Dutch Oven Bakery in Alanson. Ryde Marine has all sorts of watercraft for rent . Crooked Lake has always been one of our favorite spots
