Gearhart House guests have access to an indoor heated pool, hot tub and exercise room. Unit G600 is located on the 1st floor of Gearhart House. Limited ocean views from the living room and the main bedroom. Main bedroom has a King bed. 2nd bedroom has 2 twins. Sofa sleeper in living room. There is not a fireplace in this unit. Flat screen TV in the living room. Bright and inviting. This unit has basic cookware, dishes, and silverware available. We do not provide oil, seasoning, or any other additional items. Our family of four (along with two teen friends) enjoyed our trip to Gearhart. Among the valued amenities included a well-stocked kitchenette, a spacious great room for dining and watching TV, a closet full of board games and DVDs, access to a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, and comfy beds. There is also a McMenamins across the street for easy access to a restaurant with dine-in or takeout meal options.
The unit could use a little TLC - the top dishwasher rack was broken and one of the toilets kept running. In the end these were minor items of concern that did not overshadow our stay. We would stay here again.

Much larger than we were expecting! It definitely smells musty but you get used to it. The bathrooms really need an update but the rooms are big with two nice balcony’s. It was so nice to have a kitchen since we had kids and didn’t always want to go out. The check in process was easy, mcmenamins is next door so you can walk over for a drink or food and the area seems like a nice place to stay. There is a great pool as well! We would absolutely stay again!

Overall, it is average and I would stay again if the price was less than comparable rentals. This one is a value because it is so close to the beach; however, there is no view of the ocean from the condo. Everything was clean and in working order. The bathrooms are decades old with very low shower heads It was quiet and the nice indoor pool was no more than 5-minutes away. The coffee maker is drip - bring your own coffee. No one in my group could log on to the provided Wi-Fi.

Location was great. It was nice to be a little out of Seaside but close enough to drive in for dinner/entertainment. Even though we couldn't see the ocean from our room the beach was only a short walk away which was awesome and an added bonus that it was never crowded! The condo was a nice set-up for my family of 5 but like others have said the bathrooms are in desperate need of an update. The painted countertops were peeling...there was also a pile of dirt by the entryway when we arrived like it had been swept there but then not thrown away. The main room sliding glass door also needs to be fixed, it was very difficult to open and close. Overall though I would probably stay there again, it was affordable, linens were clean, and it was a great size.

Perfect and cozy stay for our family
We had a wonderful time staying in Gearhart. The condo was exactly what we needed for a weekend home away from home and the beach access right down the road was so much fun. We enjoyed having a less populated beach area to visit with our small kids. Getting to drive along the beach at night was a first for us but our kids had a blast beach strolling with headlamps in the dark.

Spring Break 2022
A relatively inexpensive place to stay. Another reviewer said it best "You get what you pay for". We did overall enjoy the place. It is close to the beach a quick walk down a not so busy road. We as a family enjoyed the pool and there is a small park outside as well, that we were unaware of, so that was a nice surprise. However, the Paint peeling off the bathroom counters is not good and the should be replaced or fixed ASAP. The bathrooms NEED to be updated. The shower heads are very low so a tall person would have a hard time taking a shower. They could also use a good scrub cleaning around the base of the tub. We used the pull out bed on the couch and did not find sheets for it, but we were able to find extra blankets and made that work. The pull out bed is not super comfy but not the worse out there. The balconies could also used updated patio chairs and the deck could use a good scrub. There are kids puzzles which my 2 & 4 year old enjoyed.

This was a nice place for my family to stay. The location is great, easy walk to the beach. If you like golfing, the Gearhart Golf Links is right there and is a fun course.
The unit was pretty clean. Being close to the ocean, just plan on nothing drying. It would be great if the unit had a washer and dryer in it but there are some at the facility.
We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We do wish they would have pool towels at the pool but you get them at the front desk and they ask you to re-use them. Nothing dries due to the humidity so they were always wet.

We had 5 people stay in this condo, 4 in the bedrooms and one on the pull-out couch. We loved walking on the beach and walking into Gearhart. Condo has plenty of dishes and lots of pantry items which was nice. The sliding glass door onto the patio was really difficult to open, and the patio chairs needed to be wiped down before we could sit in them, but other than that we were pleased with the cleanliness of the place. The price was right and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

The condo was great, a bit dated but entirely functional. Our issue was with the check in process. Usually following payment or at least on the day of check-in, we receive a notification from VRBO or an email from the property owner. We received neither.After a 4 hour drive, we arrived. We could not figure out how to access the condo -- went to the door (which was locked) and looked for a note or some directive, but there was nothing. We then went back to the car to double check and see if we had received check-in instructions via email or VRBO, but there was nothing. There was NO CONTACT INFO for the property manager on the listing. We phoned VRBO help line, and were told our wait would be 25 minutes, but no one picked up after 54 minutes. We then found a VRBO online help 'chat' service. TWO HOURS after our arrival, we finally were directed to an office ACROSS THE STREET at MCMENAMINS to get our key. Needless to say, we were starting to plan our four hour drive, back home (that same night) during this tedious and stressful process. We received a nominal discount (less than $20) off of our first night "for our trouble" and because the desk clerk admitted she'd been too busy to send us the information. It was a super stressful way to start our 3 day trip to the beach. The information regarding check-in needs to be on the VRBO listing.
