The breakfast & location was amazing!!
My hotel room was freezing.
I barely slept because I was very cold.
During the night my spouse increased the temperature which made it better.
Other than that everything was fantastic!!

We loved everything about this place. It is an amazing hotel. I stayed with my boyfriend and his family, and booked this hotel for us for our weekend visiting Geres and the surrounding areas. I could not have been more pleased with my choice. This place was exactly what we needed after a long day and had something for every one. The town was quaint and perfect for an evening stroll and dinner. The bridge is RIGHT behind the hotel which made for a very charming atmosphere. And the hotel is pristine. My boyfriend and I were thrilled with the bar and pool table in the lobby, allowing us to stay up a little later after his family retired and enjoy our evening.
The staff were incredible too. Very accommodating and so friendly. Our rooms – couldn't ask for more.
A peaceful, quiet night was had by all. The rooms are more than comfortable, and my partner's parents agreed. We woke up refreshed and ready for another day of exploring. This hotel was honestly a highlight of the weekend (and that's saying a lot given the views, wine tastings, and meals we had during our little weekend in the northern section of Portugal.) We are frequent travelers to Portugal to visit family and friends, and I will absolutely make it a priority to come back here. The back garden of the hotel looks like such a great place to lounge and get a drink. I want to bring my mom here as soon as I can!

I stayed three nights in May in a flat managed by the hotel, not in the hotel itself.
The flats are on the main road through the historic town, opposite the Paços do Concelho. That is about 100m from the hotel. If you do not wish to carry your bags to the hotel when checking out you can agree with reception to leave the keys in the flat.
Flat is large. Though in an old building the interior is completely modern. One of the two flats has a large terrace. If you stand on the terrace you have a good view of the bridge. The neighbouring buildings have adjacent terraces (you may be visited by a cat).
Hot water, shower, fridge, kettle, washing machine worked; there is a rack for drying clothes.
Wifi was weak in the living room and did not reach the bedroom or terrace.
To key-lock the street door you first need to push the door-handle up. The entrance door to the flat has a simple lock. The security lock on the door to the flat was misaligned and cannot be used. There is no safe.
There was no equipment for making coffee apart from the kettle. If you are planning on cooking, note that no food consumables (oil, spices, ...) were provided.
There was no laundry detergent, iron or ironing board.
Thin curtains did not keep out the light
