The property is huge and well maintained. I requested for an accessible room and the staff gladly arranged one. The Lodge rooms are spacious and has well stocked kitchen, perfect for a family with children.
The breakfast at restaurant was a buffet and has variety of options.
There is a indoor swimming pool and gym and there were no crowds. Outside there is a golf course which mostly people living around use.
The buffet breakfast menu was set, would love to have variation. When there is an event in the ballroom, the main building that has restaurant, bar and swimming pool gets crowded. There is negligible street lighting from main building towards the Lodge rooms, need to use torch when it gets dark in winter months.

Cosy country feel
Decor a bit old fashioned, could do with a spruce up

The Historic mansion house&its history. The comfort of my room. Once moved to a similar size room to my friends. And staff brought us more heaters.
The hot buffet breakfast quality not the best😕
Didn't appear to be enough staff in places, quite a wait for service in the bar for food & drink. But taking into account the industry as a whole are much the same, staff are stretched all round. The afternoon tea scones were rock hard also.
