We loved Utopia! Most definitely an underrated spot. Amazing staff, amazing location for us, for some it might be a little bit far but it has such gorgeous views!! It is tucked away in Mae Haad, making it feel very private and quiet. Again the staff really are the best ❤️🙏 we will always return to Utopia.

Great quiet location with beautiful views on either side with a great sunset bar a short walk or drive up the hill. Everything at the restaurant was delicious and nice. The pool area was very nice and clean. Cheap and easy motorbike rentals. Hot showers. Clean rooms. Great staff. The steep entrance hill is not a problem.
I would’ve liked to know beforehand that all of the Mountain View rooms were under the Garden view rooms. The footsteps and doors closing were quite loud especially around the full moon party weeks.

The room was good. Clean, power, wifi, good mattress, helpful service. Was able to ask for refills for coffee and so forth, no dramas. Always got bottled water with it too (you need).Rented a bike from them very affordably. 250 baht a day. I'm one of two, a middle aged couple. We stayed in a clean and functional room on a beautiful remote island, which is what we wanted. Food was good and food prices very reasonable. The price and conditions reflect somewhat the remoteness of the location. Would stay at again but not afraid to look elsewhere either.
It's not accessible. As in, at the top of a steep hill in the jungle- so maybe not surprising. No good for elderly or disabled. The shower head had to be held while you stand in a bath. Again, not a big issue for us but a large person might struggle, esp with head height. View is into a bay but not a sandy one. Sunset is blocked by a hill so view was really not THAT special. Concrete scree on the hill side next to the appartment. Lots of construction, therefore also noise. Waist water falls out the bottom of the room into the jungle. The swimming pool is very small and the picture misleading. BUT. Kho Phangan is a small island with adventure and beautiful beaches. That is what you go for.
