We LOVED this house. It was a like a magical cabin. The location was amazing. My whole family loved it and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed Bentleyville and the Aquarium, but mostly quality time with family.

A family birthday get together with a Bentleyville visit.

We had a big family get together for my Dad's 75th Birthday party. 5 of us were able to comfortably stay in the main house and 3 stayed in the back house. Many family members visited throughout the weekend. Plenty of street parking for everyone and plenty of room throughout the house for people to spread. The kids appreciated the wide variety of games that were provided.
The short walk through the sand dune to the secluded beach was a big hit with everyone. Amazing view there of Duluth. Would book again in a heartbeat!

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at the house. This time we brought our nephews and their S/Os along to enjoy Duluth. They had a wonderful time. The property is well suited for a family gathering. (They slept in the main house, and we went to bed in the cottage to give them alone time.) We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners together while spending the day out and about in Canal Park and beyond. As with our previous stay, our dog enjoyed her visit as well, especially with all the sniffs to be had just over the hill on the shores of Lake Superior. We certainly will be back before too long.

We loved this place! Met our needs, we spread out between the house and the quaint little cabin. Plenty of towels, comforts of home, well stocked kitchen. Too few coffee filters for our group, and we couldn't get some of the outside lights to work, but that didn't dampen our appreciation for this fabulous space.

It is a uniquely remodled, redecorated 1905 built home not too far fron m the action at Canal Park. There is also a stand alone cabin behind the house. We used both for our group and it worked great. Main downfall regarding the house (for some) is no bedroom on main floor and both bathrooms upstairs on 2nd floor so its not a good fit for people with mobility issues...although the cabin may work for them with everything on one level.
Otherwise its well appointed with everything you should need. The beach is in back over a large sand dune but there are other access points nearby. There is NO view of the lake from the property in case you are wondering.

This property has a great location, nice bathrooms and kitchen. Good price. But the house has a very wet basement which gives the main floor a bad wet/musty smell. Second cabin musty. The living room furniture needs replacing—-shabby.

We enjoyed staying here-the location was great, plenty of space for extended family and pets, and everything we needed was available!

Nice place to stay near canal park, has 2 houses to use for sleeping, right on shore of Lake Superior.

The only downfall about the property is that both bathrooms are upstairs, it was a little difficult for my elderly parents to get up and down the stairs. Other than that it was good

Superb location with easy beach access. Our family had a wonderful time on the property and exploring canal park, park point trail, and the beach! So much to do without going very far. Such a relaxing trip! Additionally, Bill was very responsive by message both before and during the visit. We hope to be able to come back soon!

This place fit our family perfectly! We went on day trips out to the surrounding area then came back and spent the afternoon on the beach! The cottage was great for the littles to sleep in! The house had enough room for us to spread out! We have relatives in the area so it was a bonus to spend time with them!

We loved our stay. A one of a kind, cozy, well-equipped property, with amazing beach access over a sand path. Made reservations to return next year while we were still there. Thank you Bill!

Prime location within walking distance to Canal Park, and easy, direct path to Lake Superior beach and shoreline. The house and its adjacent cabin are casual and cozy. They comfortably accommodated eleven people and pet dog easily over a 30-day rental period. In our case, we hosted our five adult children and their families as they rotated their visits over the four weeks. The main house has all the kitchen essentials needed to prepare, cook, serve meals, and cleanup. Bathrooms contain soaps, shampoos, and towels; bedrooms and sleeping areas have complete linen sets, pillows and blankets. All areas have plenty of electrical outlets; WIFI and video entertainment connections worked well. There is an abundant library of books, puzzles and board games available in cabinets and on shelves in the main house to use and amuse. The local Property Manager was easy to contact, and promptly resolved an initial entry issue at checkin, resupplied consumables and fixed a sink stopper issue. Basement Washer and Dryer are easy to operate and used frequently. Private outside seating area around nice fire pit with well-stocked firewood; enjoyed many s/mores events with big and little kids. Propane gas and charcoal grills performed perfectly for frequent family dinners. Note that parking access and space beside the house is tight; and street parking on Minnesota Ave is restricted. Overall, a great location and nicely configured rental property for a summer vacation on Park Point.

In past years we have loved getting the extended family together to stay at this lake house and cottage and this year was no exception. It is a great house, wonderful location and holds many memories for us. We have stayed many times, it feels like "our" lake house when we arrive and everyone finds comfort and relaxation in that. Our kids are grown now, but were so glad to get to come back to the house and cottage and enjoy Park Point, Canal Park, and Duluth in general. Thanks for another memorable stay!

We all enjoyed our stay in you eclectic house. The little guest house was perfect for my granddaughter, her husband and two little boys. They loved the beach and had two wonderful days playing in the sand and water.
Having the two bathrooms upstairs was perfect.
Loved the back patio, lovely and sunny. Would recommend staying there.

It was our family’s 2nd time vacationing in May at this unique, clean, comfy, rustic, non-smoking, pet friendly, 2 house lake property, on Park Point, and it didn’t disappoint! We truly enjoyed it!
The host, Bill, is very kind and considerate. In my first review from May 2022, I informed the host of the very uncomfortable, old, squeaky, bed in the “Cottage” and ask if it could be replaced. He did replace it this spring with a new sturdy and higher foundation which made a significant difference - and much more comfortable sleeping! This past May vacation vacation, an item was accidentally left behind and he quickly arranged and successfully mailed it back to our family!
The yard was large enough for dogs to explore (but on a leash since the property isn’t fenced in). Liked using their gas grill and fire pit! The fire pit's “Solo Stove” was smokeless which kept our clothes still smelling fresh after nightly fires! Property is walkable to Canal Park, Lift bridge and its direct beach via backyard. Beach House has a fun eclectic artsy style with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms all upstairs. Both bathrooms & kitchen have sufficient supplies. Main floor dining room has large tables and sufficient seating for family dinners, board games and puzzles. The Cottage is 1 level, more rustic, open living/sleeping home, 2 Bedroom, full bath, minifrig/kitchenette but no air conditioning. Ok if not used in hot summer months. Overall it was a great time here in the best part of Duluth!

Picked this site for a work virtual conference for 5 team members. Everyone had their own sleeping space. The living room and TV (ginormous!) were perfect for a virtual conference set up. The wi-fi was painfully slow at times and required many to use their personal hot spots.

House has a great location! We loved being on the beach. We enjoyed driving over the lift bridge and seeing it in action. The house was clean and we were very comfortable. Thank you so much for letting us stay!

The location is great. It is an easy walk to the water. There is a pole in the middle of the driveway, but we asked permission from the neighbor to drive on their side. The house has everything you need in the kitchen, lots of games and books, extra blankets, essentials for the bathrooms and tons of seating throughout the house. The house is a "grandma" so it has it quirks, but that was fine with us. There is a very nice firepit outside with lots of seating.
The only negative I could list would be the cleanliness of the house. Under the couch and between cushions had dirt, fur, food, and some other items i couldn't identify. The futon blanket was black from dirt. The dishes were also put away with food still on them. All the linens, towels and blankets were clean though.
We would definitely stay again. We really enjoyed the house.
Note: we didn't use the little house, but peaked inside. It's nice, especially if 2 families want their own space.

We really enjoyed our stay and all of the amenities of our own home. Our guests were comfortable and slept well. We enjoyed being able to spend time together, share meals at the large dining table, and plenty of games and puzzles if we wish.
It was also great to be able to walk down to the beach to take in views of Lake Superior.

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint property. We enjoyed a walk out to the point and fell asleep in comfy beds to the sounds of wind and waves. House had all the modern amenities with a rustic charm of the Northwoods.

This place was perfect for myself and my friends from grad school to get together for the weekend. Plenty of place for sleeping and plenty to do indoors while it was raining.

Spent the weekend and hosted my daughter’s bachelorette. Cooked our dinners there as a group. So much fun!! Loved having the cottage for the moms to step away from the girls 😊
