The surroundings, the place, the atmosphere. The place is beautiful and very comfortable.

That there was no chance to do the wine tasting. The day we could, the staff only speak French. Breakfast is included but I didn’t like the cold boiled eggs.

Help from Fergal. He went out of his way to get us to a car rental place to pick up a vehicle. You absolutely need a car to get to this Hotel and to get the benefit of the surrounding area.

See above. One needs to arrive at this place by car. It's in vineyard country, with little to no public transit. Too bad this is not crystal clear in the ads for the hotel.

Lovely old buildings in the heart of the massif, nice pool and great air conditioning. Nice tour and wine tasting Large comfortable bed.

Under new management 4 years ago the place is in need of a real tidy up. Lots of old irrigation pipes lying on the ground, overgrown vegetation, dead plants in pots etc. It is not cheap so you expect a bit of refinement. The location is rural with the nearest restaurant run by one of their competitors, so perhaps they should offer a minibus service to and from Narbonne Plage. No bar means no chance for a nightcap under the stars after driving back from a restaurant. There is huge potential but it feels as though their focus has been on the wines rather than the accommodation experience.
