A cozy Thai-style hotel that’s perfectly fine for a short stay — a couple of nights is ideal, though four felt a bit long for us. The staff were great, the café on the first floor was cozy with tasty breakfasts, and the beds were comfortable. It’s only two minutes from the beach, with plenty of bars around, fruit stands, and lively vacation vibes all around.
The main downside is the noise — drunk people singing (badly) outside until around 2 a.m., which can make it hard to sleep. On the fourth morning after our third night, my wife (who is allergic to many things) woke up with strange red marks that ChatGPT suggested might be bites. We couldn’t find any insects in the bed and I had no marks at all, so I think it might have been plankton from the sea, while she’s convinced it was something in the bed. It slightly spoiled the trip, but the staff kindly changed all the bedding and the last night was fine.
