When we arrived, the apartment was lovely and even had several extra touches that we didn’t have during our previous stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies (non sticky pots), and utensils, along with thoughtful additions such as olive oil, vinegar, spices, coffee, tea, paper towels, and dish detergent. There was also a generous supply of shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap, which was a very nice touch. Hand sanitizer, bucket for washing the clothes. Games and cards for entertainment. Everything was clean.
One of us became a little unwell during the stay, so having a first-aid kit with medication for fever, as well as Strepsils and tea for a sore throat, was extremely helpful and much appreciated. You also have allergy medication and after insect bite cream.
The owner came by once regarding a minor issue with the water pressure. He was very nice and polite and took care of the problem immediately. We communicated mainly through WhatsApp with the management company responsible for the apartment, and they were responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, the apartment itself is very cute, has a pleasant and welcoming feeling, and the location is excellent, with the beach just steps away and beautiful sunsets. The only downside of the apartment itself was the bed, not comfortable for us. The mattress is quite thin and bouncy, and when one person moves, the other person feels almost every movement. The bed is also somewhat squeaky. As a result, none of us managed to sleep through an entire night during our stay. Improving the mattress would make a significant difference to the overall experience.
A note about outside noise — unrelated to the owner
We want to emphasize that the following is an external issue and is not the fault of the owner or management company. The area around the apartment is quite noisy both during the day and at night.
There is a restaurant/club called Pazzuzu directly across from the apartment. A number of Indian staff members from the restaurant regularly gather in the parking area directly underneath the apartment, often talking on their phones or playing Indian music. This can be quite noticeable inside the apartment, particularly late at night.
There is also a neighboring building connected to the apartment, with a balcony directly beside our apartment’s balcony. Many of the Indian staff members seem to stay there,there’s very frequent circulation of people, noise resembling moving/dragging furniture, banging or slamming the door, and on many occasions they stayed up late on the balcony, either talking on the speaker for hours or watching stuff on their phone which disturbed quite evenings while we were trying to watch a movie and fall asleep, we heard them more than our own tv. We made few attempts to resolve this issue politely but they continued to be ignorant.
Pazuzu also played the same music every single day during our stay, sound got quite annoying .
Early in the morning, delivery trucks arrive at Pazuzu and park directly underneath the balcony. They can remain there for around 30 minutes with their engines running, creating quite a loud early-morning wake-up call. Pazzuzu also doesn’t turn off the lights during the night and they hit directly to your bedroom. In addition, there is a recurring alarm from one of the properties to the far end of the beach that goes on and off both day and night, approximately every 30 seconds (unfortunately we heard this all over the beach every day, and you’d probably hear it no matter where you stayed.

The host left very clear instructions and the place was nice and clean. It came with enough towels and bedsheets to change too. It was a good enough space for 2 people. The balcony was also a nice space to relax at especially during sunset. The pool area was also very nice and beautiful during sun set.
The room was also nice and cosy- had a mirror in the bedroom so you don’t have to do your makeup in the toilet. Everyone we meet there was polite and friendly.
The shower was far too small and I didn’t like that it was a plastic curtain- water gets everywhere.
You have to buy your own bottled water as the room doesn’t come with any bottled water or coffee.
The location is not ideal if you are taking public transport. It is not walking distance to the
City center but there is a bus stop 10 mins away. But the walk to and from the bus stop is not easy- there is a steep hill.

Good location, close to the beach and bus stop where you can get the bus no 7 into Old town in 20min.
